Roald Dahl's The Witches [DVD] [2020]

I got my dvd and I wish I would have read comments before buying !!! Only plays on my computer !!

The original of course was awesome. But as a remake, didn't hate it. Thought it was really cute. Octavia Spencer did a great job. Anne Hathaway was also really good. For a remake it was great! Chris Rock was the narrative on movie also liked. It was enjoyable.

When Hero's (Jahzir Bruno) parents die in a car accent in Chicago,he is raised by Octavia Spencer, the world's greatest grandmother. Unfortunately a coven of witches led by Anne Hathaway are out to change kids into mice and curse them with the voice of Chris Rock. The main action takes place in a swanky hotel.It was a fun film. I can see kids liking it.

If you live in USA do not buy. It will not play on your DVD/Blue Ray player. They conveniently left that out. Not Happy!

Be cautious purchasing this movie, or even similar movies. I had to give one star to submit review but the movie we purchased displayed a message that 'the movie could not be viewed' because of our region (USA), so we never actually got to watch the movie. I've heard of such a thing happening but had never happened to me until now.
