Flimsy and cheap, BUT works GREAT!
If you’re reading this, you’re facing the same dilemma - your *New* 3DS or XL.I’m happy to report this device does indeed work as advertised.I was concerned about it. It’s very light and the USB cable is extremely short and cheap. However, it works. I was even able to charge my *New* XL up without the dock, but ended up using the dock because it stopped charging.Awesome device for a few coins. I’m going to get a couple more, in case this one breaks.S/N: Lining up the bottom of the DS with the contacts is cumbersome at first, but gets easier.

A little hard to line up
The design is to fit all models, but it makes it a little harder to actually line up the pins for charging. Other than that it’s great, and the cord is even better than the last one I had that I sometime just use that on the go and not the whole dock. If you’re having issues with the charging port, I highly recommend trying it.

If you have the old 3ds please read!!
If you have the older/original 3ds the stand doesn’t work but the charger does!! All other chargers wouldn’t work with my 3ds like they didn’t fit but this charger works perfect! Highly recommend buying if you need a new 3ds charger!

Good, not great
My biggest complaint is that because the dock isn't as wide as the 3ds, you're left to sort of locate your charging pins by feel and hoping you aren't chewing up your 3ds' charging port by sliding it around until it finds home. The plus side is you get a universal New 3DS and New 3DS XL charging cradle if you happen to have both. And thankfully the charging pins aren't connected to power until they're pressed in, so it's not a 5v fire starter waiting for something conductive to bridge them and test the fuse in the USB port.It's good, but it could be better if it had adjustable arms to ensure you always placed your 3DS in the center every time.

Just buy it
Fixed the only issue I had: my 3ds would not charge with a normal charger. When your port inevitably goes loose or breaks you’ll have to buy one of these anyways

Didn't charge my DS on the dock
I only gave the value for my money two stars because I'm able to use the charging cord to charge my DS. Set up was easy and pretty self explanatory but it never actually charged my DS while on the charging dock itself so overall the product didn't meet my needs
