Q: I need a kit for ln46a550p. Which one will work?

Samsung LCD / Plasma TV CAPACITOR Repair Kit, Replacement Parts {1000uF 10V (4 pieces), 1000uF 25V (6 pieces), 2200uF 10V (4 pieces) and 220uF 25V (1 piece)} QUALITY USA brand!! HIGH Temperature Capacitors. This set worked for me, just look for the capacitors that are expanded at the top. After I replaced these capacitors the TV worked and continues to work. Good luck, I was very pleased that it was a problem that could be fixed. my set was a 52 in 550P, I would expect it would be the same capacitors. It seems the 550P series had a problem with the quality or maybe size of the capacitors. Good LUCK!

The best way to tell is to open up the TV, which you will need to do anyway once you get the capacitors. Inside you will see the circuit board and be able to identify the capacitors that are bulging. Then you can read the values written on them. Whatever kit has those same capacitors is the one you'll need.

Q: What are the dimensions (diameter and length) of the 25V 1000uF capacitor?

I can't remember well but they usually come with bigger stacks and you can cut off a portion if needed. They work perfectly.

Q: will this fix the infamous high-pitched noise in the LNT3253H ? I do not see any obvious bulging caps on first look...

Don't know, mine didn't have the high pitch noise.
