Like most brands that advertise halves and pieces, more small pieces than larger ones, and very few halves. But the nuts are fresh.

Black and rancid walnuts
This last 3 lbs order of walnuts I received from Anna and Sarah of California was terrible. The nuts were mostly black, almost all were less than half sized and they tasted rancid. A reputable merchant would not have sold walnuts in this condition.

Old taste
Taste old . It’s not letting me return. The other box of same item is ok. This is the second time, walnuts taste, stale.

These are halved Walnuts shipped from Calif.
These are fresh, tasty walnuts. They are fragile and easily damaged from improper shipping from Amazon. By this I mean the package of Walnuts was placed in a larger box for shipping without any protection from breakage. Usually padding of some sort is added in the shipping process: in this case there was no damage protection so that the Walnuts were reduced in size from halves to somewhat less than halves.
