UNSAFE PRODUCT FIRE HAZARD
***FIRE HAZARD***I bought this product as a gift for my husband. He is religious in his routine, he plays for a while and then rotates charged battery into the controller and leaves the other on charge after having been used. Last night was no different he put the used battery on charge at around midnight and turned off his Xbox. However when he arrived home after work, it started with a strong smell of plastic and a hissing and spitting noise coming from the battery pack. He came to look at it and the heat coming off of the pack burnt him, he managed to disconnect the pack from the the connector and take it away from me and our furniture. The battery continued to spit and hiss, the plastic continued to bubble and was clearly liquid in form.My husband has some knowledge about such things, his theory is that during the charging the battery swelled, resulting in the terminals fusing together meaning their shorted causing the pack to being to melt.I would have given this product a zero out of 5 but this is sadly not an option. Had we been asleep and the fire mentioned events continued this would have not only ruined his controller but potentially our home and our lives. This requires a product recall, no excuse for faulty products with potentially very serious implications. 0 out of 5.. UNSAFE PRODUCT.

Caused controller to not respond permanently
I have separately charged both packs for hours, I put them into the controller and now the controller doesn’t work. The Xbox symbol slowly flashes and that’s all, I’ve tried putting the regular batteries back in and plugged the controller into the console but no dice. Everything was fine until I put this product in. Very unhappy. If a solution is found I will change this review.

Waste of money? Might as well just buy a USB cable
It is not the greatest piece of kit. It's supposed to provide you with the wireless playing experience, but all that is happening is you will have to keep plugging it in, as it runs out of charge pretty quickly, which is greatly annoying. So it takes about 5-6 hours to get it to 100% and you get about 3.5-4 hours of play with the use of all features of your controller, maybe you can try to squeeze 5 hours out of it if you're in for a basic gaming experience. It just seems to be getting only worse, so far it's been charging for almost 6 hours and still at 83%.I'll try to give this play and charge kit another week and if it doesn't get any better then I'll have to return it as I think mine might be faulty, but I've no way of knowing for sure, it just seems to be an absolute waste of money so I won't be buying the same one to replace it.Not recommended.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
DO NOT BUY THIS!I left the battery pack on charge for a few hours then used it and it lasted about an hour. It doesn't go up to full charge and it goes from low battery to dead in about 3 minutes. Just buy an official one for a bit more money.

Use rechargeable AA batteries instead.
These packs do work, but the recharging speed is incredibly slow for a playtime of 15 hours. It takes six hours or more, even with a good quality charger. Other controllers give you 20 hours and only take two or three hours to charge. This would not be much of an issue if pulling the packs out and switching them around (to charge one while playing with the other) wasn't so needlessly difficult. Once the pack is in the controller, getting it out is so difficult you would swear it was glued in place. I have to use a solid object and a surprising degree of force to shove the pack out of the controller.I now use AA batteries with a charging kit - these last longer and can be removed very quickly and easily. Use those instead.
