Brilliant, thrilling, heart-wrenching and immensely satisfying - believe the public, not the critics.
Do not believe the critics, I have seen Batman v Superman and I can honestly say this is one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. I was one of those that was a little... reluctant to consider Ben Affleck as Batman: I am now eating those words as Batfleck is now without a doubt my favourite portrayal of the Gotham Knight ever - even more than Michael Keaton. I was likewise proven wrong about Jesse Eisenberg's deliciously evil, psychotic and manipulative Lex Luthor and was amazed by Gal Gadot's soon to be iconic portrayal of Wonder Woman. Every performance was brilliant, Henry Cavill is allowed to inject some pathos and humanity into his Clark Kent and it is perhaps this alien that is given the most human moments in the film; Jeremy Irons' Alfred, Amy Adam's Lois Lane and Holly Hunter's Senator Finch also shine brightly in this brilliant movie. The plot is fantastic and seamlessly blends political intrigue, superhero thriller and character driven drama together into a film that allows the audience to engage with adult themes and concepts whilst maintaining a sense of fun. I love this movie and i know most people will too, if they only give it a chance. The knowledgeable DC fan above all will be served well by this film and will be pleased to see their iconic and beloved characters finally be given the treatment they deserve. As a lifelong Batman fan, DC fan, Comic Book fan and above all as a movie fan, I heartily recommend Batman V Superman to everyone.

Good but can be improved
Like Allegiant and Blade; Trinity, I went into this movie feeling wary because of what I've already heard about it but it was much better than what I was expecting. But it also has a lot of faults. As outlined in a video I watched on YouTube, there are a lot of problems with the story and the script. There were a lot of things I didn't understand initially, especially Bruce Wayne's (Ben Affleck) dream sequences. The writers have stuffed far too much into one film including the set up of Justice League by including cameo's by the likes of Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Moama). Even Steve Tyler (Chris Pine) gets a cameo by appearing in a photo alongside Wonder Woman. I personally don't think Ben Affleck is the best Batman yet. He's far too violent, compared to previous versions of Batman, and kills a lot of people which reflects the DC Universe's darker tone. I haven't seen a lot of versions of Lex Luther (Jesse Eisenburg) but this one was slightly mad. He said a lot of his lines in a high pitched tone and I didn't understand his plan very well. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) was wasted. She only had a few scenes in the entire movie and she was just eye candy dressed in provocative outfits for her first few scenes. Everyone is complaining that Henry Cavill is a bad Superman but they should remember that he wouldn't have been cast if DC wasn't happy with him as the Man of Steel and the script could be to blame for his boring facial expressions and responses to being a superhero. The long awaited fight between Batman and Superman was great but it took too long to get going and the idea that the two superheroes would form a truce because both of their mother's are called Martha is stupid. Overall, I liked it but I definitely prefer Marvel. DC have a long way to go until they can prove that they can compete with Marvel and not just in the box office.
