Rather dissatisfied with this item, maybe I just got a bad order. I will give it another try at a later date.

NOT what it used to be. Shame.
I used to consume this tuna for years. It was truly the golden standard in ventresca. The red Sorra box: you would see it, you would instantly feel like you’re about to go through something really unique. I got to buy large batches over time, as I enjoyed the soft, buttery texture of this product. No one on the market could beat these guys. However, for 2-3 years, Kartago ceased offering this product altogether. When it came back on the market, I purchased around 50 boxes. To my dismay, they changed the type of tuna / supplier they used, and now offer a subpar white albacore tuna. The closest product it can be compared to is the Tonnino bottled tuna you can find (at a great price) on Amazon. I already tested dozen cans: it’s all the same cheap stuff. Sold at the same price than before. I am so disappointed in this change. The Sorra was synonymous with the best ventresca out there. It’s now a pale copy of better products on the market. Huge miss for Kartago. Will 100% stop buying in bulk like I used to. You can try Yurrita in case you’re looking for the best ventresca out there. They essentially offer the “old” Sorra quality. A little more expensive but oh so worth it.

Not Good
This is my intro to Ventresca and it did not go well. The can was half oil and half fish. Instead of the luscious light velvety texture I was expecting all I got was 5 very tough, gray strips of fish. In fact the taste was more like sardine than tuna. Even though I got this on Prime Day it was still very expensive. Such a let down.

Simply the best tuna in a can
I loved the amount of tuna the fact it is packed in pure extra virgin olive oil. No comparison to canned tuna in grocery stores in America. Worth every penny.
