Right size, right weight.
The delta dart has just enough handle room for my large hands to grip comfortably. The blade is 3 sided edge. The whole dart is about the thickness of a plastic coat hanger but way stronger. Edges are sharp enough but won’t cut your hand open. I’m positive if used as a thrust/stab weapon it will easily go through. Weight wise it’s less then my iPhone. Being a strong polymer it does flex and will break if enough force is used; however even metal will do so with abuse. The steel loop at the handle end is a single stainless loop that’s has been welded. None of those cheap key rings here. As a polymer dagger it does it’s job perfectly. Won’t be as strong as steel but for intended job and price so worth it.

Cheap, but no slouch
Note: Do not buy any other "size" than 1. Buy multiples of the size 1 if you want more. It appears Amazon doesn't see the "size" as quantity, and even though I ordered the size 4 expecting to get 4 in the package (price reflects this) I only received one. Save yourself the hassle! If you've never seen a weapon like this, it's essentially a commercially made and enhanced version of a prison shiv. These are not meant to replace a steel knife in terms of defensive ability. These are cheap, light, rust-proof, and most likely strong enough for a single defensive encounter. Buy multiple to keep hidden around the house (never rusting means that they can even be hidden in the elements or in places like your toilet tank) and, say in the case of a home invasion, you have an option to defend yourself with something other than your bare fists. A bit long to carry around though, the only thing I can think of for long-term carry is keeping it in a sheath on the inside of a high boot.So long as something like this fits into your situation (and at 4 bucks a pop it's pretty easy to find somewhere for it), this is an awesome weapon. Tip is sharp, texture around the handle helps with grip. You can buy a toothbrush and shave it down on some concrete for authenticity, but it wouldn't have anything on the Delta dart.

Cool
Cool little knife if you take the metal ring off its completely metal free also super pointy and long enough to take care of problems that may arise.

These little guys are amazing!
First, let's clear up a few things that seem to be driving some of the lower reviews. These are not knives. These are not intended for daily use. These are not intended for any practical application. What these are is a non-metal, very strong, very pointy weapon designed to stab when things go "sideways" and you don't have any other options to defend yourself. In that capacity, these are absolutely perfect. Light and incredibly strong. You may see reviews or videos complaining that these can't stab through a coconut, or a steel door, etc. These reviews are so idiotic as to be not only irrelevant, but also laughable. When do you think you are going to be in a situation where you are in an area where you were not able to bring a gun or a knife with you for protection when, suddenly and without warning, you are attacked by a coconut?!I've attached a couple of pics. One to give you a good idea of the size and one to show you that these things do have insane penetrating power. WIll they pierce a coconut? No. Will they penetrate a heavy winter coat, a tee shirt, a layer of skin, a few inches of subcutaneous adipose and still hit a vital organ? Yes. Guaranteed. That's an inch and a half of corrugated cardboard. No problem.

Good Last Resort Defense Knife/Tool
I hope you or I will never have to be in a situation to use a dart but this could come in handy as a last resort tool. There isn't any other purpose for this item other than to stab or repeat stabbing. It's a great price for something that can save your life but there isn't really much to it. The point is sharp enough to do damage and the shaft strong enough not to bend or break. I bought the sheath, also. How you would carry it otherwise? I comes with a ring that I guess you could carry it with your car key and with the key fob. I wouldn't carry it this way but it you did, you definitely wouldn't but too much more with it or it will be hard to use. If you want to remove the ring, it has to be cut off. Wire cutters or the inside area of a pair of pliers will work. I reviewed the sheath separately but I will add that the dart tool should not be forced into the sheath or it is very difficult to get out. Together, the sheath and the dart are very light.

Need to make a cover
They are longer than expected but would be nice if they had a cover because they are very sharp and can cut through my purse and I am constantly stabbing myself

Exactly what I paid for
The item is a plastic self-defense spike with not sheath. No bells no whistles, just a straight forward item, but longer than I expected. Too big to put in a pocket but good size to keep at home especially if you aren't comfortable with a firearm. It is an up close tool so be prepared to have to be close to an attacker.
