Worth it. 5 fans, lots of cooling power and it's well built.
Genuinely one of the best cooling pads I could get my hands on. Works really well with plenty of cooling power.I've a Lenovo IdeaPad 14" for reference and it fits perfectly. The cooling intake vents are on the bottom and fit perfectly over the smaller fans that are either side of the large one in the centre.Noise wise it's not too bad, the smaller fans obviously produce a little more noise but I easily forget it's on after a minute or two.You can turn the LED strip off at the front, but not the main fan LED so beware that if you have it tilted using the mount below, anyone behind you will see a constant disco going on. Not idea for an office environment.Overall I measured a 5 degree drop in temperature using cooling pad, versus without using one on a flat desk surface so money well spent.

A robust and efficient laptop cooling stand with rainbow light show
The KLIM Orb arrived quickly and safely via Prime delivery. Unfortunately, the box had suffered a little damage prior to shipping (Pic 1) but this was not the fault of the outer packing and the contents were undamaged. So not really a problem unless it would have been a gift. The stand is mainly constructed of hard black plastic with one big central and four evenly spaced smaller fans (Pic 2). Also included are English (plus 4 language) instructions, some stickers, a phone holder accessory and a one USB to 2 USB cable (Pics 3-5). The stand is raised and lowered on a 'C' shaped loop of black metal wire (Pic 8). There are various stepped levels of adjustment depending on your taste but I found the lowest 3 levels the most useful (Pics 6-8).The stand works well in use forming a sturdy and non-slip platform for any thing from an 11" to a 17" laptop. Strictly, speaking the suggested range is only up to a 15.6 model but my old 17" Toshiba fitted fine and definitely benefited from the additional cooling provided. The latter is a weighty beast compared to more modern models but the stand coped admirably. As well as the switchable cooling fans the stand also features pulsing rainbow lights that either illuminate just the fan, the fan and the front panel or can be switched off altogether. Finally the stand works very effectively as a riser stand that both elevates the screen position and provides a 'writing slope' to the keyboard. As I have said at the highest elevation that was too much for me but at level 1 or 2 it is very comfortable to use. For power it is only necessary to connect one USB to one USB. It doesn't matter which was round you use the cable as long as you use the 2 wire plug at one end and one of the single wired ones at the other. The two single headed USBs have different length leads.Aesthetically, the stand looks good and has a similar (though slightly larger) footprint as a standard 15.6" laptop. This stand is a little more expensive that some other similar stands on Amazon including a cheaper stand by KLIM. I think that this stand justifies the extra cost. The lights are perhaps a matter of taste but I like them and it performs its primary functions of both cooler and stand very well. It is well made, exceptionally quiet and strong and should serve you well for a long period.

Superb cooling and nice lights too
This review is for the KLIM Orb + Laptop Cooling Stand with RGB backlighting + 11" - 15,6" + Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad For Desk + USB Powered Fan with metal grid + Stable And Silent + Compatible Mac And PS4 + NEW 2020.The cooling pad I received was exactly the same as the one shown on the advert and has two buttons at the front, one to power on/off and the other to control the leds on/off at the front of the stand. There are two USB ports at the rear. It has a main central fan which lights up when powered on and 4 smaller satellite fans at the sides of the stand. There is a plastic phone holder that you can clip to one of four side slots. It also comes with a USB A male to 2 x USB A male lead, which are not of the same length as each other. There is a single sheet of instructions and a small set of sticky logos. The stand can swivel upwards and it has a metal U bracket than can allow it to be adjusted to four different angles for ease of use. If not in use, the stand lies at a slight angle anyway, and I found this a much more comfortable angle for me to use for any length of time. The stand has two USB ports at the rear and both seem to do the same job; in other words, you only need to use one of the ports to make the stand work. The cable is a weird thing being split into two differing lengths of lead. I originally used it with the joined end being the power supplying end, but discovered that you can use whichever length, or end, works best for your setup. The two cables are also of different thicknesses, and again, I don’t see why.In use, the stand provides enough airflow to keep my laptop cooler than normal but it is not silent by any means. I could hear it quite distinctly above the normal background hum of my room so I could imagine it becoming intrusive if you are using it in the small hours. The main fan light is barely visible being underneath the laptop, and the lights at the front are novel to start with, but I switched them off after a while. The metal plate does become quite cold after use and this will also help keep the bottom of your laptop cooler as well. There are two large rubberised bumpers at the bottom of the metal plate to stop your laptop moving off the plate itself. The advert says it is suitable for laptops up to 15.6". The metal plate the laptop rests on is 14.25” wide and top to the bumpers is just under 9.5”. My 15” laptop fitted with an inch spare at each side and room at the top and kept cool throughout. It comes (through Amazon) with a 30 day money back guarantee and a 5 year warranty and all for £29.97. If your laptop runs hot and this concerns you or if you run a gaming laptop that this might fit, then I would have no hesitation in recommending it. Their offer of an Amazon a 30-days no questions asked return policy is terrific.
