Mackays Lemon Curd, 12 Ounce

This is a delicious lemon curd that I highly recommend. Really great on fresh scones or ice cream. Flavor is very lemony - sweet but with a nice tartness. Good value for the price. My favorite lemon curd.

I was originally given this as a present and I love the strong lemon taste. We made tart cups to have lemon tarts.I like that this does not need to be refrigerated, but the label does warn that it must be used within six weeks of opening... usually not a problem, as it goes fast.It is a little pricey, but it makes a wonderful occasional treat!

Lemon curd is really easy to make but I needed some in a hurry for a party and didn’t have time to make it. Mackays did not disappoint! It’s as close to my homemade as I’d hoped and the price was very reasonable!

I spent 3 years in Scotland in the early 60's and lemon curd was a favorite. This was tasty but nothing to write home about.

I use a little of this in thumbprint cookies. I have also used in feather swirls on cake frosting. When making a Blueberry pie with crumb topping I mix a little of the curd in the butter, sugar, flour ingredients. Just the right amount of lemon accent.

I’ve bought two jars of this lemon curd and BOTH jars arrived already open. It was very disappointing.

I love lemon curd. Mackays is one of the better brands just add animal crackers for dipping and you have a quick snack or party treat. Yum!!
