After rotating the layout of our lounge to put the tv in the corner rather than in the middle of the wall, I realised that not only did it screw with the feng shui, more importantly it meant the two wall mounted rear speakers weren’t in the right place for surround sound!Enter this speaker shelf (and 5m cabling); I was able to move the speaker to a better position to allow for the rear pair to act as rears instead of both on one side!Unlike similar shelves on Amazon, this one has foldaway feet - this meant I could get it even closer into the corner of the room. You wouldn’t want to try that with a full sized speaker but for my purposes it’s perfectly stable!It’s also multi height which meant I was able to adjust it so it perfectly hid the part of the wall where the wallpaper had run out (previously hidden with a bookcase)

I was looking for a stand that I could fit into a very tight space just by my bed to place my Echo Show 8 onThis was so easy to put up and the metal makes it's very strong and solid. I may end up using this later on to place my new tv on. I’m very happy and would definitely recommend it.

Whilst this is a sturdy speaker stand, the quality control needs to check before dispatch.The one I received was a bit of a nightmare as the bush in the stand wasn't aligned properly with the result that the bolt on wouldn't go straight through. In the end I had to drill the bush to allow the screw to go through.I didn't want the hassle of returning it as I'd got rid of all the packing so I was determined to be able to assemble it.It is a decent stand once it's assembled. Assembly would have been straight forward it the bush had been properly aligned at the factory.

Sturdy ...well made..

The stability of the base and tubular column is fine but the speaker 'shelf' is bolted into a circular disc that is spot welded to the inside of the top tube and these have failed making the support to the speaker useless. It looked and felt OK at first but I have just had occassion to move the unit after removing what was on the shelf and felt the shelf move. At first I thought that this was just the fixing bolt loose but then discovered that the welds had failed. I have made a temporary repair but need to give a more permanent repair further thought.
