Bledie Lekker Droewors (Dried Sausage) 8oz

I’m a South African living in Philly for the past 20 years. This wors is absolutely delicious and tastes like home! I was just at the Kruger Park, and this tastes better than anything I had in my trip in 2025. Congrats on a super product. Definitely buying more. Lekker.

The taste is great, I just cannot afford it anymore. Would be nice to have a bulk/subscribe option, I have been a loyal consumer of the brand for over 15 years. I know costs have negatively affected many sectors across the board.

I'm from South Africa and I get this every time I crave Droewors - which is a lot.This would be good even back home, but it is pricey!

I should have checked the return policy on this because it was delivered a day late and when I opened it, it smelled SO bad and rotten. I thought maybe I was overreacting and tried a piece and immediately spat it right out. It’s tasted SO bad. I don’t if it sat in extreme heat while it was delayed but I think it’s unacceptable for a company to sell a food product without a return policy and for shipping to be delayed only to find that the product is probably rotten and I can’t eat it. It’s more of a hassle to try contact the manufacturer than to just eat the cost. I am extremely upset and will NEVER buy this again. This is so unfortunate because being from South Africa I was so excited to see that I could finally get what is advertised as the best! I should have known this was too good to be true. Be forewarned!

When this product is good it’s very good. However the quality of this item does not seem consistent.Sometimes it’s dry. Sometimes it’s soft. Sometimes there is no lamb flavor, sometimes it’s very strong. Sometimes the sticks are on the small side, sometimes they are twice the size.Perhaps there are different production lines and it’s a coin toss which one you get.Either way this product is still pretty good if you can afford it.Also remember to refrigerate after opening the bag.

I ordered then immediately reordered as I ate the whole bag in one day. Yes, I've been starved of this kind of product... I so don't care for beef sticks and American jerky... in my mind meat shouldn't taste like candy (So nasty) and this is zero sugar and 100% delicious. I overdid it by eating the whole bag in one day but I couldn't help it. If any complaint, I think it could have had a little more salt, although I don't know if salt is in the recipe at all, but it was very tasty and dry yet soft to chew, a little fatty but I liked that, and over all the quality seems high, both of the product and the packaging. I'm a satisfied customer and repeat buyer. I went on to try their biltong slices and chunks and those were very yummy too.

Acceptable but almost tasteless. Most distinct flavor is the vinegar. Much better than Ayoba for almost half the cost. Will keep looking for the real Droeworse taste and flavor which this is trying to emulate but just doesn’t get there.

Same as the one from home, I love it!
