Easy to set up and configure using the supplied test weight.Interesting when came to setting the tracking force as despite following the manufacturers instructions and watching numerous You Tube clips about getting the tone arm to ‘float’, I found my initial tracking force measurement to be 0.14g short of the manufacturers recommended ‘sweet spot’ for my cartridge. Anyway, after several minutes spent tweaking the counter weight the scales confirmed that I had got the tracking force set correctly at 1.8g so ‘jobs a good un’ as the saying goes. Have to say that there is a noticeable ( not major mind) improvement in the sound quality now that I’ve set the tracking force correctly.Not the best made piece of kit if truth be told but that really is a minor quibble based on the number of times I’m going to use it, and certainly not worth docking a star for.So, if you’re thinking of investing then my advice is to take the plunge as for the money I don’t think you will be disappointed with the result!

Most useful item used in my vinyl system. Easy to use,easy to read, accurate. A treasure for vinyl users at this price.As I change my Cartridge / Headshells( I've 15+) , each has a different tracking force. This guage allow very fast accurate adjustment.Saves incalculable excess stylus wear/ vinyl groove damage etc. Why invest heavily in Vinyl without this,the most effective way to protect your investment.Karl O'Neill

Used this to aid in the installation of a new cartridge. The build quailty is pretty diabolical, but the scale seems to be accurate and comes with a 5g weight for calibration which I used on another set of scales and proved it to be accurate.Comes complete with a case, the device itself, a 5g weight and 2 x LR44 batteries.The case has nowhere to store the loose 5g weight, neither does the device, so I just put it in the case first then slip the device in afterwards. Works well and stops the weight from falling out of the (admittedly poor quality) case.Can't grumble at the price though. So long as the guage is accurate, which it is, then that's all you really need for something you are hardly ever going to use. Buy with confidence, just don't expect incredible build quality.

Very easy to use and calibrate, the packaging is very nice and I like the wee weight and battery holder that keeps everything together when you have the scales stored away.

Did the job required.

An absolute must have if replacing the cartridge or stylus in your record player, to protect your records and gain the best sound quality from your needle.Bearing in mind it only costs £10 at time of review, it's surprisingly good quality, compact in size and comes with a good looking faux leather bag.Very good value and therefore, I'm very happy.

Seem to be accurate and do a good job

Replaced with another one which died. My fault for leaving spent batteries in it. Nice accurate unit. Reccomended.
