Base is made from GLASS
Very sturdy and easy to set up. Comes with strong plastic cable management clips that help keep everything tidy. Holds my 2 x 27" Dell monitors perfectly steady. The large square base is made of GLASS which I personally didnt notice from the description.

well balanced and easy to set uo
my desk has a back on it and drawers so a drilled hole or back clamp were not feasible - i also wanted a flat base so that the area under the monitors could be used. This was for the left two monitors of a three monitor set up where i wanted a big space under the central monitor to slide the wacom when not in use. So two monitors to the left with the stand to the left side and the right monitor on its own stand to the right and a gap between. This works perfectly and because the arms have a hinge in the middle it means the monitors can be angled slightly in towards each other (a shallow V) and this also allows them to almost touch the central post meaning the weight is well back so there is no chance of them tipping over. On opening the box i thought the moulded plastic cable clips were a bit cheap and cheerful but actually they are really useful and the idea of having slots in the central one for the allen keys is sheer genius because when you come to adjust these things years after installation you can never find the appropriate keys without a big search. Finally one thing is very important for setting this up - when you are first hanging the monitors on it, work out the distance between the bottom of the monitor and desktop and get some books of this height so that the first monitor will sit on them when you attach it - otherwise the whole thing will tip over and be very unwieldy - with that first monitor soundly sitting on the books the second monitor is easy to put in place. I did not have the problem mentioned by some reviewers concerning the loose fit of the vesa bracket into the slot on the arm. It was good that this was a loose fit because otherwise it would be tricky to slot the monitors on to the stand but OTOH the slight lean from this can be compensated for by tipping the monitor back slightly. This was so good that after two days i decided to replace the stand on the third (right) monitor with the matching single monitor stand given the advantage of the completely flat low base.

Fantastic buy!
I was originally very unsure about this purchase due to the onslaught of negative reviews, they mentioned issues such as the glass being scratched, the arms being weak and unsupportive. This was completely untrue for my case and I'm vert pleased with it!The package was small but well protected with everything being tightly secured with foam and cardboard. The instructions were very useful and simple to understand with only a couple of steps to fully assembled my duel monitor step up! During the build the only issue I had was certain items were not numbered, however were easily identifiable.Once built I did have some issues getting the left arm to stop tilting the monitor but after a good amount of strength I managed to tighten it enough for it to stop dropping over time. I will say this was my only issue and a minor one at that, I found it helped to hold the monitor above or in place and then tighten the bolt rather than tighting and then moving the monitor as when the monitor moved it must have ever so slightly undone the bolt to then sink back down again. I will point out I was close to maximum weight and size as I was attaching two 32" monitors that were 8kg heavy each. Anyone with less then I should have no issues putting this together. The stand also came with 4 wire clips to allow cables to be managed. This was a fantastic way to manage the cables and definitely an improvement over my previous set up. The middle supporting tube was hollow with a removable top, however, no optem bottom which in my opinion was a major oversight as this would have been an even better way to hide the cables.Over all, a very well designed monitor stand that managed to hold up my massive monitors. You just need a little elbow grease to get some bolts in place.I am two days into using this product, if anything changes I will be sure to update this review :)

Great Monitor stand
Why did you choose this product over others?:No Need to hassle wit clamping, sits directly on the desk. Using this with 2x 27" Monitors and works perfectly. Easy to manoeuvre around.

Not as sturdy as it could have been
For the most part, this stand is pretty sturdy but there is nothing to tighten the connection where the VESA bracket slots onto the articulating arm which results in a very annoying and very loose 1.5cm wobble at the edge of each display. Particularly annoying when you have just bought two frameless displays which you would like to line up perfectly. Instead, every time a display is touched, they move. What I had hoped was a means to tighten the slotted connection turned out to be a screw to make small adjustments to the display height.I have ended up fashioning makeshift shims out of sardine tins with a pieces of foam backed adhesive tape to fill the gap of about 2mm which was causing the wobble and everything is now quite sturdy but this really should have not been necessary - especially given how the rest of the stand had been designed to be tightened properly. Now that I have found a solution, I will probably make another tidier iteration but the top of it (which extends the whole height of the slot) can just be seen in the attached photo - the brass coloured metal the red arrow points to - I hope this helps anybody else with the same frustration. So, unfortunately, I am only giving this stand three stars. It really should have been much better.
