Finally a Quality Headlamp. Durable, Rugged, Reliable. Tank.
After breaking my original cheap black diamond and then having issues with a 3 month old $80 2x 123a powered princeton (cheap plastic broke and it would no longer switch to the high setting (was never dropped or abused)) I did about a solid 10 hours of serious research into finding the absolute best headlamp out there. I live in the mountains in WA and during the winter our daylight is short. On top of that I work on a farm and Im a very outdoorsy dude. So I need a good headlamp. My criteria for "best" consist of rugged, durable, reliable. I was originally pulled to Petzls tikka line and surefire. But was skeptical after reading reviews of the tikka and concerned about the size/weight of the surefire. Then I stumbled on the PIXA 3. "That's it." This thing is a tank. Im not even slightly worried about abusing this headlamp. Shes a tad bit on the large side but for the serious headlamp/gear/outdoors connoisseur you will find it no problem. If your looking for a true quality built headlamp that wont break on you when you need it (surprisingly rare these days), look no further.

Great head-lamp
The actual reference of this product is incorrect. It's a Head-Lamp/ Led. Only wish would be to have a red LED feature, pricey but well worth it for quality/name/etc.

garbage
For $80 you can get a way better one anywhere but Oh yeah It wont have that tab that fits into the slot for their way over priced hardhat. oh and by the way if it catches on something while your wearing it the tab will break off very easily ,but thats ok they will sell you another little piece of plastic to replace it for $15

Win win headlamp
I am a previous owner of a Petzl headlamp and I'm not disappointed with the PIXA3. It's rugged and is easy to adjust even with mittens on(big plus in the winter). 5 thumbs up!

the included attachment plate makes it easy to attach to our climbing helmets
I purchased this after being very jealous of my husband's PIXA 3 for a couple years. It is so much brighter than my former Petzl head lamp. We use these mostly for camping; however, the included attachment plate makes it easy to attach to our climbing helmets. This is great for those multi pitches that take longer than expected as well as those early morning approaches and late hikes out. Love this headlamp!
