Great hanger!I bought two of these. One for a violin & one for a ukulele.They work really well & are easy to install.

Holds the violin neck securely - better than the String Swing hanger. With a little ingenuity you can add a hook for the bow. Found one at the local music store for $16.95 (Canadian, which makes it about US$15.50) so check around.

I'd give it 5 stars but, as others have mentioned, there's nowhere to hang the bow. Other than that, it's wonderful to know that my instrument is secure on the wall.

Not impressed. I have a wall lined with Hercules Guitar hangers and so I purchased this for the sake of consistency. Although it works well for hanging a violin securely, there is no place to hang the bow. It does not work as a mandolin hanger either. The mandolin neck is slightly too thick for the mechanism, so it doesn't close properly without a little intentional force. All quite a shame, because it does look good and has a great build quality.

This is exactly as described. It works perfectly for my violin. I don’t mind that there’s not a place to hang the bow. I just installed a temporary clear hook next to it and that works just fine. Great product. I wish they had one for my other instruments.
