Q: Do the molds have to be greased for caramels?

No. I chill and they pop right out

Q: Has anyone experienced a plastic smell or taste? I purchased another brand that made my caramels taste like plastic.

This candy mold is fine. Quite a change from cutting carmels by hand! No odd smell, no off taste. Great product.

Q: What is the easiest way to pour hot caramel into the 80 square molds

I just used this mold the first time for caramels. A little apprehensive, but I found it very easy to pour the hot caramel. I started pouring in the middle of the mold and worked out towards the edges. I used a tiny rubber spatula to help the caramel spread. My caramel recipe filled the tray perfectly.
