I haven't yet made proper sourdough bread yet with this. But I used it to make pita bread and taste and texture was awesome. I also used deep fry the dough to use it as replacement of bhature and it was great 👍.

The instruction manual was missing

I'm a home baker. I have made bread quite a few times but this was my first time baking a sourdough bread. Trust me this starter is a wonder. The first pic is of the kneaded dough, second pic is of risen dough, third the baked loaf, and forth pic is of the sliced bread. I can't ask for more from a sourdough starter. It is what I expected and more, much more.

Not a glass jar, but a plastic pocket shaped like a maison jar.Not 100% sourdough: the ingredients list includes yeast, vitamin C and enzimes.Not a kit to start your own sourdough supply! The only instruction is "combine 4% with flour"... so besides being difficult to manage, it only allows for a finite number of bakings.

It was the first time buying a dehydrated starter having always either doing my own or getting from friends. I was a bit disappointed that there were no instructions with the pack on rehydration of the contents. Had to play by ear. Also, the contents say "active yeast" so does that mean there was added yeast, or only the natural yeast of the starter?

It works well. Just followed the measurements printed.

Pretty bad as it contains yeast. Also, the picture is misleading as the product is available in a plastic pouch with pic of a jar 😀. I wasted time and efforts. Thankful to Amazon though for reversing the charges
