WOW!!!!!
Your first impression is the price...WHAAAATTT!! Get past it. These are the absolute positively best pruners you will ever buy. I needed something to replace a 30 year old worn out Corona pruners. Corona no longer made the one I had so I had to look for something comparable. I tried another style and they were just not good, But this pruner is SO AMAZING!! If you have a yard and prune almost anything on a regular basis, but these. You will so not regret it. These are the Ferrari of pruners!!!!!

Cuts through thick branches with ease
I own two LÖWE pruners: This LÖWE anvil-style (model 1.104) and the LÖWE hybrid bypass-style (model 8.107). Unmistakably, the anvil-style model 1.104 cuts through thick branches with less force and more ease than the bypass-style. Based on my use experience of these two LÖWE pruners, I estimate the anvil-style cuts through thick branches with around 25% less force than the bypass-style. The bypass-style actually costs more than the anvil-style.

These are fantastic!
Listen carefully: Ignore the reviews that gripe about this pruning tool. It is phenomenal! For anyone to find a flaw with this tool (other than damage in transit) is beyond the pale.Note that these are made in Germany. Note that the company making these has been doing so for a long time. I own a Mercedes. German. These pruning clippers are the Mercedes of pruning clippers. You get my point. In anthropology there is a phenomenon known as "grave goods" or "grave furniture." The idea is that the deceased is buried with items they considered indispensable during their lifetime and probably useful, as well, in the afterlife. These pruning shears are worthy of being grave furniture. Yes, including for an ancient Pharaoh, except, alas, this tool was not being manufactured in antiquity. You get my point.

Best cutter on market.
Nothing made in US compares. The Swiss army knife of cutters. Bought two -- so that my wife can lose one. :)Be sure and order replacement blades/etc. You will have this in use for years and that might exceed company lifetime.

Worked well for me
Nice clean cuts. Works well as long as you do not overload it. This is a hand pruner not a lopper.
