Works Great
Got a 15oz throw line over 75 feet into a fir tree.

Fantastic time (and effort) saver!
I'm a ham operator, not an arborist, so I don't exactly have much skill at throwing lines up into trees. I needed to get a throw line over a branch up about 55' to pull up a wire antenna. After much frustration trying to do it by hand, I decided to buy this. It took ONE try. Seriously! I did a few launches nearly straight up, in the clear, in order to get an idea how far down the pole to put the trigger to achieve the necessary height, then took a shot at my target and....perfection. It is very easy to aim. Depending on how high you need to shoot and the weight you're shooting, it takes some strength to pull the slingshot down the pole far enough. (I never could have done it so easily without the trigger, a very worthwhile add-on.) I used a 16oz weight, but a lighter weight might have been simpler. The only thing I ran into (found this when doing my height adjustment test shots) is that the safety on the trigger doesn't always release under tension. I found that if, before hooking the slingshot to the trigger, jiggling the hook and the safety a little ensured it would then release under tension. Just pull the slingshot down, hook onto the trigger's hook, get in position, release safety, aim and shoot. I may have to put up more antennas in other trees just because this thing is so cool! It's too new for me to comment about its true durability, but this thing seems to be built very well, and for my use, it ought to last longer than me.

If you’re doing tree work, you need one of these
I can put my throw line 150’ in a tree accurately from almost a straight line. You don’t have to have throwing room, you just shoot it up in the tree. I use an 8oz weight. The trigger is super nice as well. It’s all really good quality.

Great tool to help get rope high in trees while safely on the ground.
Takes some practice to aim, but by using this tool, I was able to get a rope over the top of a tree that had been dead for numerous years allowing me to cut it down in a safe direction. The tree was not safe to climb and not reachable with a bucket truck.

Just buy it already
If you've researched it or been thinking about just buy it already. It's a huge time saver/accurate/fun to use. Save time and reach higher tie in points than throwing by hand.

Great Slingshot - Additional Trigger Didn't Work
The media could not be loaded. Our neighbors purchased this item years ago and we used it without the trigger and liked the device so we went to Amazon to find it for ourselves and we saw this great version that comes with a trigger.I was really excited about the trigger since the slingshot works great but is a bit difficult to maneuver if you need to aim and shoot really high, so the idea of a trigger sounded amazing. When we first received the item, the slingshot worked as expected and was really easy to put together, but the trigger had fallen out of the small box it came in and was broken with the clamp that connects the trigger to the pole missing a pin. I then requested a new item be sent since I love the slingshot, but we have a branch roughly 200ft. high that I want to hang a Christmas ball on, but is really difficult to reach unless I can use a trigger system since it's difficult to pull that far back while also aim. When I received the replacement item, the trigger was again out of the small box it comes in and it was broken again since the pin was missing. This time, I searched for a while and I was able to find it in the large box the slingshot came in (since the trigger had fallen out of the small box it came in and likely bounced around in the large box until it broke).Once I was able to put the clamp back on the trigger with the missing screw, I went to put the trigger on the pole, and it was physically impossible to wrap around the entirety of the pole since it didn't fit around it (see attached video). I noticed the same thing with the first system I had purchased, but assumed it was just due to not being able to connect the clamp to the trigger due to the missing screw.I am returning this system completely and I will repurchase it without the trigger component since after 2 times purchasing the same item, having the exact same issues with the trigger is likely not just a coincidence.I will purchase the sling separately from the trigger since the sling device works perfectly for my needs. I will most likely just have a neighbor hold the pole while I pull back the sling since I can't get the trigger to work and I'll probably need help getting it so high in a tree. The slingshot portion of the device is amazing, but unfortunately, the trigger leaves much to be desired and simply never worked for me.

Game changer. Get it!
Worth the money. Allows much easier positioning of the rope. Use it for DRT and for rigging line to pull trees away from the buildings when felling.

Excellent accuracy!
Highly recommended. I use this for getting support ropes into the upper branches of tall trees to support amateur radio antennas. This device is pretty much foolproof. My first shot right out of the box was right on target and this accuracy has repeated itself on every tree.I wish it wouldn’t have taken me 40 years to find out about these things!
