Dummies is no dummy
Wiley hits another grand slam with this Dummies GDPR. It is current for 2020. This handbook is a superb organization of hairy detail. I did not have to choke it down. It is comprehensive and useful. They even include how to treat cookies. The practical direction guides you through the wording of notifications and agreements.GDPR is a different animal from other regulatory swamps. This one requires you to establish your legal grounds for having covered data. There are only six lawful grounds and Dummies clearly sets them out for you to see if you can make a legitimate case for even touching such data. Chapter 12 just may be the most important feature of the book.I also found the operational readiness to work in this space through process workflows to handle requests. I found documentation requirements, as well as auditable record keeping and reporting.I saw how practical and economical it is to design and build in GDPR from the start. Top Shelf.

Clear and concise
"GDPR For Dummies" by Suzanne Dibble is clear and concisely written on a topic that is pertinent for today. Many topics and sub-topics are covered so it isn't a quick read but it is worthwhile. The language is accessible to most readers of varying levels of familiarity. I think those who are already highly familiar with the subject may find it a little too 'beginner' like but for those of us who are beginner to intermediate level of familiarity, the author conveys the information in accessible and easy-to-digest language. Very well done.

A Vital Topic to Web Developers/ Corporate Advertisers and Researchers in A Well Explained Book
This European Union regulation affects American web developers, Market Research firms and other corporate entities that collect advertising or research data. This is an up to date and practical reference and much less expensive than legal texts and official documents that don't explain the implications of these important privacy regulations better.

Useful
I design websites for small businesses and honestly didn't know what GDPR was, but this book really helped. It will probably be slightly outdated and will need to be updated often, but it's very insightful.

A good overview, not good legal advice
This is very detailed, but the problem is it is a book. Now, if you are a well-qualified lawyer, this might be all you need. But if not this will help you to understand what is going on, but will not give you the tools you need to make your website(s) comply.
