Very Smooth Turning Swivel Bases
The bases took a while to arrive (couple weeks). However, they seem to be well made and turn very smoothly, much more smoothly than the old ones I'm replacing. Time will tell if they hold up under the elements. The dimensions shown on the photos are correct, 6.75 inches center to center across the diagonal.

Good replacement part for bar stools
I was looking to replace the swivels on a couple of bar stools in my kitchen that had gotten worn out and loose. These are much sturdier than what originally came in the stools and they were a perfect fit. I have one more stool that will eventually need the same repair, and I will definitely go with this product when the time comes.

This is much better than the original swivel bearing in my shop stool
This is much better than the original swivel bearing in my shop stool. The old swivel had only 12 ball bearings, with a bearing ring to hold them equidistant. That's a crummy, corner-cutting way to make something as basic as a swivel, and it had a very low weight rating because of the few bearings. The Sealux is made the correct way - 52 bearings and no ring. I weigh about 275 lbs., and it moves very smoothly for me. If you need a swivel, spend the extra few bucks and go for this one. If you need a different size swivel but you're reading this anyway, just remember that you want to have as many BB's in there as possible. Look at the pictures associated with this ad and see how it looks with all those BB's in the race. That's what you want to see.

Can't Mount Seat With 5 1/2 inch Pre Drilled Spacing.
Diagram show holes are 5 1/2 inches apart. The pre-drilled holes on the seat are exactly 5 1/2 inches apart. Impossible to mount the seat to this swivel unless you use a screw the circumference of a needle. Had to return these and order the larger size.

Seems to be working fine. They replaced 8" piece on bar stools
Smaller than the origional swivel. Seems to be working fine. They replaced 8" piece on bar stools. Appear to be stronger than original swivels with plastic parts and ball bearings. Rating 5 for now. Purchased item die to review and chain driven swivel and no plastic parts
