The Classical Nifty Fifty
Allow me to start of with one thing first, this lens is absolutely great for a beginner-enthusiast photographer's looking to take a leap into the world of prime lenses. I know it's very difficult to decide where to go from your standard kit lens, but this 50mm f/1.8 bundle is the way to go!(Just a little heads up though if you have a APS-C sensor your lens would be cropped from 50mm to 80mm. If you want the 50mm look you will need a full frame camera, or a 35mm lens)Allow me to start off with what it includes and my experience with the items. First up the lens itself, the lens has some weight to it but is mostly plastic except for the metal connector which allows it to be really sturdy. The focus ring is fairly rough, but allows you to know that you're focusing properly. For video work the auto focusing of the lens can be heard quiet easily, which sounds like your rubbing your finger along a wet window. Now for the best part of thenlens is the images, this lens take amazing photos either during the day, or even night. The f/1.8 allows it to open up wide enough to let in a lot of light allowing for beautiful blurry backgrounds, and fast capture speeds without the need to bump up ISO. The photo quality is fairly sharp, and very good for this price range! Now for the lens hood, it screws in with the 49mm threading, and does its job fairly well though it is fairly difficult to get on sometimes. Next up is the filters the UV filter is essentially a protective filter for the front of the lens to keep it clean. The CPL filter was actually pretty good though not premium quality, but does it's job really well. The last filter to me is one I never use due to the over powering violet color. The case that is provided does keep the filters protected, but leaves a red fuzz from the interior on the filters a lot. The cleaning tools were not the best, but it's always important to have the hand air pump to clean off your lenses afterwards. The plastic protectors for the lens are typical protectors. The protective bag is fairly nice, & padded for your spare kit lens to be stored in.Overall for what you get I highly recommend this bundle, it offer a lot of useful items for its price range. Plus it's a great starting point for new photographers, though if you have the extra money I highly recommend the 50mm f/1.4 due to it's better build quality, and for it's faster \ quieter focusing capabilities.

New Camera User - First Lens
Alright so just to start off I'm very new at the whole DSLR scene I've been playing with a friends 50 prime previously so I figured i'd just get one of my own.The current price for a 50 Prime on Amazon is $110.00 this bundle was $125.00 I figured since I didn't have the other essentials this might be a good deal for me so I went for it.**Accessories**Once I opened the package I went for the Vivitar Lens Protectors / Filters. When I purchased this bundle on Amazon I figured it would just be something cheap but the fact you get everything here it was worth it to me. The Vivitar Lens Filters are actually pretty nice it looked durable and it even came with a carrying bag. The fitment was good, of course the camera threading is somewhat narrow so you just have to try it. The Hood also fits with all of it but with the hood installed the lens cover can't catch on anything instead its just barely gripping the inside of the hood to release. There is another ring around the hood threads I think its just to keep its distance or to space it out but that part feels very cheap. Everything else is as it says. the bag however is a bit oversized.**Lens**Once you open the outer box its obvious that the lens is the most expensive item there. It comes in its original Canon Box and as I opened it everything was just as it would if you bought it at a retail store, in pristine condition.**Conclusion**If you're looking to get this bundle to add a couple of accessories to your gear than definitely go for it. The 50 Prime is an awesome lens that can give you that depth of field look you want out of your shots.**Update**So after using the camera for a while I noticed something, and I got my friends 50' to test out as well. It seems that the UV Filter causes some lens flare. It's not a huge issue but it seems that it does distort the images. Just be aware if you are using the UV filter it might have some issues with reflections / refractions from light sources.

Great lense
Very happy with it, great in low light, gets beautiful texture and color. Adds a great cinematic look to what I'm filming. If you can't get decent video with this lens you probably don't know how to use your camera.

Great price and exactly as advertised!
I was a little leery about the accessories, but for the price you're basically getting them all for free!First the lens. What is there to say that hasn't been said before about the Nifty Fifty? It's genuine Canon, in retail packaging, with all of the regular parts and pieces (lens cap and lens cover). The lens hood that came with my purchase was a 49mm hood. Another reviewer got a 58mm hood, but the one I received was correct. It's a standard tulip/flower hood and attaches easily to the lens. The filters easily attach to the lens, though if you're going to use the hood you'll want to screw the filter to the hood and then put that into the lens. Way easier. The lens bag is lightly padded and will fit up to the kit lens that came with your camera. No complaints there because my bag is small and really only has room for the body and an attached lens, then one more lens (which is usually the cheap used telephoto I got a couple of years ago). The rest of the accessories (brush, blower, and lenscap leash) are all bog standard and perfectly serviceable. All in all, this is a good value for the money ($125ish), and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to expand their photography equipment beyond what comes with the body.
