Extremely detailed resource book for working with the bereaved. Beautiful case studies are included. Really powerful content. Highly recommend this read.

This is the best book I have every purchased on grief. Because it is filled with a variety of perspective on grief, t is a wonderful book to add to my collection.

Interesting techniques. Very easy to follow. Would use as a reference in my daily practice. Look forward to reviewing again.

I loved this book

I am using this book in my work with people suffering trauma and loss.

First half read like a statistics report. Second half was more relatable. I don't remember much attention being given to addiction, jealousy, or feelings of disenfranchisement during complicated grief of the client, or self care or transference for the therapist. There were some practical exercises.

Returned. Too old fir my needs as a psychotherapist.

OK, I'm just a plain social worker trying to help. If you are the same, don't be discouraged when you start reading Chapter 1's first section on "A Epigenetic Framework" whatever.. Just skip that part and go straight to the next section, "Toward A Developmental Model of Grieving." Otherwise if you're like me, you'll spend the next 40 minutes looking up every other word and re-reading to try and make sense of it all.
