Preschoolers can be introduced to crafting
My little granddaughter is 3 years old and really enjoys this crafting kit. Melissa & Doug really make some awesome toyd for kids. I actually seek their dogs out here on Amazon. This craft kit includes 3 animals with a peel and stick surface. After peeling over the surface you then put the cardboard animal into a bag of confetti. Then you shake it until the confetti adheres to each of the animals. Then the child can decorate with the enclosed materials like stickers and ears to complete the animal as they wish.Great introduction to crafting and it's fun to watch their minds work as they develop the character.Lots of fun.Highly recommended.

Follow directions, expect a mess, but have a blast with this kit.
The media could not be loaded. Not only did my three year old granddaughter enjoy making these pets, she loves playing with the finished products! She has been hugging and kissing them, and talking to them in that sweet high pitched voice she reserves for baby animals. As a few others have said, however, this kit can really make a mess! I wish I had taken this outside to do, but I had reserved this to occupy my granddaughter on a day when the weather didn’t allow for outdoor play. I have vacuumed three times, and I’m still seeing confetti. I have a feeling it will be like pine needles from the Christmas tree - I’ll still be finding them months from now!We ran into a couple of glitches while making these - one was my fault. My best advice (other than doing this outside) is to follow the directions explicitly. We made the first of three pets exactly as directed. It was messy, but came out perfectly. I skipped a step with the second one. The directions say to peel off the front and back stickers, shake it in the confetti, then add the ears, peel the side off and return it to the bag of confetti and shake again. I peeled everything and tried to shake the whole thing in one step. The pet stuck to the inside of the bag. We had to peel it from the bag, and manually squish confetti onto it instead. The third pet stuck to the rigid rectangle inside the bag, despite following the directions. That was only a partial stick, and was easily remedied by peeling it off and returning it to the bag for another shake.Another issue we ran into was with their holders. They’re adorable, but require adult assembly - and the ‘fences’ need to be taped to the backs, or they will pop off every time they’re touched. As I said, follow the instructions carefully, including pressing each side of each pet to help the confetti adhere better (some will still fall off during play, but much less if you don’t skip this step). They’ve included a cardboard comb for ‘combing’ the pets’ fur. My granddaughter loved this step. These pets are hollow, which is fine, but (as I found out from experience), if your toddler removes it from the bag upside down, there will be even more of a mess as she turns it right side up and a ton of confetti falls out from inside the pet.The included stickers added an additional adorable touch, as they are what really personalizes each of these crafts. My granddaughter’s critters came out looking different from the photo on the manufacturer’s box, which I think is great. So the bottom line is, follow the instructions to a tee; expect a mess; but also expect your little one to really enjoy this craft kit!

.
I normal love this product however I just recieved this 3 pack and one shell to make the animal was missing. And in the pack of pieces to make the cat the little orange papers had all fell out into the bottom of the box before even opening.

Great craft for 5 year old
I’d rate this 5 stars other than the contents not being consistent with the box photo. My granddaughter loved this craft. We received two cats and a bunny not the puppy as indicated on the box. I didn’t have the heart to make her wait until I returned it and she made a “special” cat by combining the orange and yellow confetti. She played with these for hours and her mom didn’t mind the mess because of how much fun she was having! Lol I do wish we had received the puppy.

Perfect fun craft!!
These crafts are such a hit with my boys! They’re easy enough for a smaller toddler (2 year old) and fun enough for an older toddler (5 year old). Theyre premade cardboard forms that you peel the sticker off and shake in a bag of confetti to cover. Then place stickers all over them to decorate. Each kit comes with adorable scenes, like this one has a super cute cake plate. Bonus is after craft time there’s quite a while of pretend play happening. Only downside is there is confetti everywhere but I’ll take it!!

Great for 4 year old!!!! Minimal mess and so cute!
I just finished the puppy from this set with my 4 year old and we both had a lot of fun. He turned 4 2 months ago and he is at the perfect age for this. I would say 3-5 is the ideal target. It took about ten minutes to complete (maybe a touch less), and we still have two more in the set. I love that each is packed separately - easy to travel with or to divide among 3 kids. The end product was so much cuter than I though - and was not messy (although as I type this I do see a few pieces of confetti on the floor - but honestly painless). We're doing the bunny now and he's just so excited. One of the best crafts we've had for a long time! Yay!
