Ordered this projector because our room had unique throw ratio requirements, and this was the best-value 4K projector that satisfied them. Granted, we are coming from a 32in 720p TV, but everything about the image has blown us away. Super impressive. Wish it could be a touch brighter, but splitting hairs - the lumens are clearly stated.We're also very pleased with the motorized lens shift - it's substantial and allows us to place the projector in an atypical but useful place in our room.Also very pleased with the quality of the build, the features as outlined in the manual/software (go check it out before you buy online), and the customer service. We received the wrong remote control, and after calling Epson (got a person in <1 min) and talking through it, they overnighted me the correct remote, which works perfectly. Highly recommend.

I had a Optima hd27 which was full hd digital dlp projector. The picture that you get from the Epson is so much better. I have not sat down and actually watched a 4k movie yet though. The text on screens from menus on disney +, netflix, and fire stick are so clear. I have watched some hd content online but streaming services are so horrid till they buffer. Other than that we have watched a few blu ray movies and those were very clear as well. I have a 120" screen in a basement so it's sort of cheating when it comes to brightness. With that stated it is a very bright screen as well and the colors are not overly warm. It has a very natural color to it and I didn't have to do any color correction. So far I have no complaints but have some concerns about long term reliability based on other reviews.Update: 2/13/2024Been using this for quite a while and still love it. It has nice clarity for the picture and good contrast as I stated in my initial review. I don't have any concerns over longevity either at this point. I'll probably hold on to it till it no longer works for once. I can't see 8k coming around anytime soon for a good price.

Good picture, miss some important features vs my old and excellent Panasonic 8000.

This is an excellent projector. We would never know that there are better models than this one since were never doing A.B. comparisons. Also the 4K overscan looks beautiful with HDR and 4K continent. With my gray cinematic screen it looks amazing with contrast levels and those blacks really punch through. I also love the motorized lens cover. That was a real big deal for me to have on the projector to fight against dust when I’m not using it. The fan noise is fine and acceptable for my theater.

First clue should have been how many they had... they must do little more than a power on test to "Certify" them.

Love this projector, it was a major upgrade from our last one. The picture quality is great. Adjusting it to the screen is very easy. We use it a lot and it has made our movies look phenomenal.

I usually have a “no used electronics” policy. I decided to take a chance on this product to save money. The 90 day guarantee was also a key factor in my decision. The product was outstanding for the 20 minutes it worked. I tried to switch the color mode to digital cinema and It then started displaying an auto iris error and shut down. Wasn’t able to get it started up after that. I called epson and they said it was defective and needed to be replaced. I guess I’ll stick to my guns next time.

We've only used it a couple of days but it's picture quality is beautiful. We love that you can adjust the picture so easily. Up or down or over without changing the mount. We hooked it up to our surround sound and love it.
