Works as expected
I am very happy with this brace. Several months ago i rolled my ankle by stepping into a well-hidden (not mowed yet) divot in a field and I never bothered to get my ankle checked out. I probably should have but that's for another time. Anyways, I've started running again after a long layoff and my ankle is handling it but not perfectly so I ordered this brace based on several good reviews and the shipping time frame. I tested it quite thoroughly two days after I received it (last week) by going on a 10K split run/walk. It held up beautifully. I was sore from the 10K but my ankle was no worse for wear. The velcro held. The speed laces kept in place. The support on the left and right side of the ankle did well to keep motion from going left and right.A couple pointers:1. Definitely use the measuring instructions. Don't go by your shoe size. The diagonal circumference measurement from heel to ankle is important here.2. When you get it, if it seems a bit big, don't fret. That was my thought upon first trying it on (I got an extra large) but I was not in a good spot to really get it on correctly. When I put it on the next day and had more time and a more solid base to use (put my foot on a step stool for easier reach) I was able to get the straps set right and the brace fit well.3. Several reviews mentioned wearing with a long sock. I concur. I run with low profile socks normally but there's just enough annoyance with the material on the brace that you'll want a little more protection. Honestly the material is no different than that of any other brace so if you can deal with that then you'll be fine. I didn't really notice anything during the 10k but after i was done and took the brace off I decided a long sock might be a good idea.

does the job well
Like the support it gives. Much easier to wear than my Arizona brace. Fits into my shoe better also.Only con is it's hard to get off. The velcro is very strong.

Exactly what I needed
I sprained a tendon in my ankle while accidentally using the stairs as a feet first slip and slide. Helps with stability and slight immobilization. The next size down would have been better (even though I did measure according to instructions), but it wasn’t available anyway, so moot point.

This is NOT the biggest size
In fact, the sizing chart for this posting is wrong. Search for the 2XL version which has the updated sizing chart. It's a good product otherwise.

Needs a little redesign
Needs: lg. cross straps to be sewn at the center back at an upside down V so that the cross over doesn't pucker at that spot. The speed laces don't adjust enough to attatch smoothly thus making a floppy fit.

Beter than expected for support.
I have been dealing with a sprained ankle and this was recommended to me by my doctor. I found it. I ordered it according to their instructions. It is lightweight, comfortable to wear and supportive for my entire foot and ankle. I was able to keep this on for a 12 hour day !
