Recently after almost 2 years my sensor which I installed to alert someone entering my driveway wasn't alerting as it always had. I did some trouble shooting & researched Q & A on the product. I felt the solar battery had finally gone bad & one answer did indicate the battery could be replaced. I opened the sensor but the battery was so encased in the unit I was unable to go further. I then found the companies contact info. which was only via email. I reached out to them with my issue & received a very prompt & caring response. After following their suggestion on a possible solution the unit still wasn't alerting. My communications were with Robin & she had offered that if my problem continued I should request a replacement sensor which would be promply sent to me. Ultimately I did make that request & as promised & without hesitation or delay I was sent a replacement Motion Sensor replacement which I received within days. I was able to activate the new sensor with my existing receiver & it now works perfectly & I have that peace of mind again. I write this because I am pleased with this product but the main take away here is the excellant, prompt, curtious customer service I received from Robin. Customer service is a big priority with me & not all companies understand its significance. Even though the communication is via email it went very quickly & successfully & for that I thank Robin & HTZSafe.

We use this sensor at the end of a 600ft driveway. Mostly to alert us of delivery vehicles coming in. The receiver is inside the house on an inside wall. We already have a sensor and receiver of the previous generation. Making them all talk to each other was a breeze following the instructions in the manual. So now both receivers in different parts of the house go off when either sensor is tripped.The one-button operation for several functions of the sensor (on/off, sensitivity and manual trigger) takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get it, it works just fine. We live in a very rural area so I cannot say anything about possible EM interference.Mounting the sensor on a wooden fence with the supplied materials took less than a minute. One of the sensors is mounted in the driveway just outside the gate, one just inside. So, when the gate is closed (we have a lot of open range cows in our valley in the winter) we still get an alarm and can open the gate for UPS etc.Both sensors are pointed slightly down and up the driveway, towards the house. I find that works best to detect incoming vehicles. The sensors work reliably and although they are mounted in a less than optimal orientation for the solar panel they have not run out of charge even on days when they are tripped a lot due to work being done around the gate.The sensor and the receiver are built very well. So far, after a few months using the original sensor in a harsh desert climate, it shows no signs of decay. The receiver plugs right into any wall outlet, allowing for a clean and easy install. This unit is perfect for our application.One more note is that the customer service from this seller is very good. They are very responsive and helpful and I would definitely do business with them in the future.

I thought this was an awesome driveway alert but once again it didn't last. My first one stopped working almost immediately so I assumed it was a faulty battery or solar panel. I bought this second unit and it worked great for a short time. After several months it quit working and no longer sounded an alarm. I unplugged the receiver for several days in an attempt to reset things but when I plugged it back in it made a continuous horrible beeping sound that would not stop. Now the sensor and the receiver seem to be totally defective. At this rate I'd have to buy one or two every year and it's not worth it.

I live in the woods and have a long driveway. I want to know when someone is coming up the road to the house. Works for quads, cars, delivery vans, people on foot, and critters. The key for a long driveway to me is to use 2 motion detectors (I bought an add-on pack) each having 2 *different* alert tones, so I can distinguish between a random animal tripping a sensor vs. something making actual progress along my driveway. I have them situated about 50' apart and I can tell by ear when something is moving towards my house (or away from it). Based on my use, they will pick up movement of something the size of squirrels or birds, so be aware of that tidbit.No issue with solar charging - have had them in place since the Spring in the PNW, so even with lower amounts of daylight they have never faltered. The receivers are easy enough to set up/pair and use, though I resorted to my 11 year old son to sort out how to add on a 2nd sensor unit. He reads manuals better than I do! I have 1 receiver upstairs and 1 downstairs so I am generally within earshot."Awareness buys you time; time buys you options."
