Great and comfortable watch - but I want more
This is a great knock around watch that happens to be solar. I'm not sure if having a watch that has a battery and the Indiglow would be better or just this solar and not replace the battery. I think I prefer having a battery and having a watch that lights up when I want. I decided to return this watch. One thing is the band. I love the band. It is so comfortable.

A reasonably priced watch
For the price, I feel like you can't go wrong with this watch. It wears comfortably, looks fairly stylish, the numbers are easy to read, it's solar powered, it glows in the dark, (there's no backlight though, just the glow from the luminescent material on the hands and numbers), and it's pretty quiet. The only downsides might be the lack of a backlight, and the fact that the hands don't perfectly line up with the numbers. Personally, it doesn't bother me too much and I would definitely recommend this watch.

Good watch with one flaw
I really wanted to love this watch but it has one significant flaw.I was looking for a durable, simple, easy-to-read watch. This Timex checks all the boxes. I really like the solar charging - no need to worry about batteries for years. After charging it up under a lamp, it keeps time very well. The case is rugged, the lens is scratch-proof glass, and the face is fairly easy to read at a glance. The numbers glow in the dark for several hours.A couple of minor nit-picks: the date indicator is really small and hard to read, and the second hand is so thin it is almost invisible. But overall, I really like this watch. My one complaint is with the stem. At first it seems great - a little bit oversized, knurled, and with a groove around the middle. Easy to grasp and turn. But that's the problem - it gets caught on things, which pulls out the stem, stopping or resetting the watch. Putting my hand into a deep pocket or taking off a jacket with elastic cuffs occasionally (but unpredictably) results in stopping the watch or changing the time, which makes timekeeping unreliable. At first I thought it was a fluke, but after wearing the watch every day for a month, it has happened three times.

Nice watch
This is a nice watch with weight that gives it a quality feel. The glow in the dark face leaves a little to be desired. But very nice for the price.

Nice fit
Fits well on my wrist. The diameter is a bit large for my liking, but an increasingly common/popular size. Clean look easy to read. No back light. Will try to follow up on solar functionality. Leather band is flat, not raised like some other bands/models.The above was about the leather band version. This part is about the cloth velcro band version. They are functionally identical. The cloth band version I have is the blue face with the blue band. I really like this band it feels very good on my arm, pretty much the same as the leather band, but it is far easier to put on and take off.

Moisture after a couple years...
I loved this watch and it gave me a couple years of flawless service. This weekend, I swam in a lake and later noticed moisture under the glass (see picture). This watch was super durable, always kept time, stayed charged thanks to solar, and didn't pick up any huge scratches despite me wearing it nonstop while wrenching on bikes, my truck, and stuff around the house. Did I get my money out of it? Yes...but I'm still a little disappointed that it gave up the ghost after a light swim.

Practical and understated
The specific version that I bought is model TW4B187009J, which has a gunmetal-colored case, blue face, and gray cloth band.Pros:- Uncluttered, easy-to-read face- Subtle branding text on face- 40mm isn’t too large or small — not at all bulky- Metal case- Date is set moving the crown in either direction- Comfortable, well made cloth band that’s free of gaudy branding text seen on other Times watch bands- Luminous glow on hands and numbers lasts two or three hours- Good value (but watch the price because it changes)Cons:- Second hand doesn’t line up with tick marks- No Indiglo because of solar power

Poor quality.
Was bought for my 15 yr old grandson. He loved it and it looked really good. The very 1st time I tried to set time after he opened the gift the back of the watch fell off into my hand. Have not been able to fix it yet. So cannot recommend any one spend any money on this product
