So. I love this easel, it is gorgeous and I can’t wait to use it. The beech wood is beautiful - fine furniture quality. But. The instructions are horrible. I’m good at putting together IKEA furniture and I’m sure that’s the only reason the easel is put together and I’m not curled up in a ball on the floor crying. Several of the pieces were missing stickers. There were pieces that looked similar; it was really hard to tell what was front and back. I had to take it apart and put it back together several times because the pictures weren’t clear and the pieces weren’t well marked… looking at it in all its glory, it was worth the hassle, but it wouldn’t be hard to provide better instructions!

Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the stool as well. Both arrived at the same time. Opening the boxes, I saw no damage and all the parts needed were there. the materials are solid wood precisely cut and a nice smooth finish. The fittings were all steel and brass w/ the exception of the plastic tension knobs.The instructions were wanky, but I didn't need them anyway. Turns out the wrong instructions were included, but the company quickly contacted me and let me know they would send correct instructions via email. As I said, I didn't bother with them anyway. I just looked at the picture of the assembled easel and found it easy to figure out which pieces went together. I did put one piece on backward but noticed it right away and fixed it easily. The connectors were all hex driven (comes w/ a hex key) but I would have preferred Phillips heads so I could use my drill. Stool materials and assembly matched the easels quality and ease. An optional cushion for the stool would have been a welcome choice. I chose this easel both because it was inexpensive and tilts to a full upright 90 degrees, essential for a pastel artist.Honestly, I could not have purchased the wood alone for less than $200. I don't know how they can afford to sell this easel for so little. As I said in the headline - Excellent quality, exceptional service at a great price. [and no... no one is paying me for this review or giving me any other compensation😝]

Very well made! I have a very small space in which to paint. If I need to I can fold and store this easel flat. The tray is functional, could hold extra brushes, pencils charcoal and pastel pieces.The only extra item that would enhance the product would be the addition of a cup holder for keeping brushes clean.

I am working on some large canvases and needed to upgrade my working space; this fit the bill and my non-existent budget.Lumber is well packaged, parts are clean and well-drilled with a decent finish. I did a little clean-up sanding of cut-outs, but nothing heroic. Instructions are better than a lot of Chinese products that require assembly. Parts are well labeled; only problem was some of the instructions weren't labeled correctly (flipped), but a little deductive reasoning and it was easy to overcome.The build... I honestly did not expect much. But it is plenty solid, with lots of flexibility. Clamps are hearty, with pressure plates, and I threw on my own sandbags just to make it a bit more sturdy overall to accommodate my heavy encaustic braced panels. I'll see how everything holds up once the panels take on heavy materials and layers of wax, but I fully expected the easel to hack it.I'd really recommend this product. Very nice oversized easel for the money. Just required about 20 mins of assembly (and they even supplied a magnetic phillips screwdriver... huh.)

This is a great quality easel. For the same easel, you'd easily pay double anywhere else. If not for botched instructions, I would absolutely recommend people buy this one.Assembly was a process of trial and error. The first 2 steps of the instructions were inaccurate. Numbers 6 and 7 were switched on the wooden pieces, so I had to assemble and then reassemble to get things set up correctly. It was frustrating, sure, but I still had the easel finished within the hour. If you're patient and refer to the product image on Amazon, you can get this put together pretty quickly.If you don't have a drill, the final steps of assembly will be difficult. The last 4 screws have corresponding pilot holes instead of fully pre-drilled holes. Inserting them with just a screwdriver will be extremely taxing.If you can survive the hour it takes to put it together, this easel will make you very happy. It's sturdy, all of the pieces are straight and of good quality. The wood is a warm honey color and has a beautiful grain, and the hardware is designed to protect the wood from stripping over years of use.

The box was a little beat up from shipping, but all the parts are so sturdy, well-wrapped, and in perfect condition. This was easy to assemble with clear directions and labelled parts. It looks good, is very solid, and functions perfectly. For the time being it's holding a very large white board,/bulletin board while I'm working from home and I couldn't be happier with it. If/when I ever return to the office, I plan to get one for there, too. Makes work almost feel like art. The backside of the white board is my fiberart planning space for pinning ideas and works-in-progress, and it handles all the pinning and height adjustments seamlessly. Bonus, it's easily moved to hold my Zoom background (hiding my home kitchen which is also my work from home space). So many uses for a floor easel!

It's a beautiful and functional collapsible easel, and a bargain at the price. Mine was delivered with a slightly damaged piece, and I wrote to the manufacturer - they happily agreed to manufacture a replacement part and send it to me. It's uncommon these days for such outstanding service.

Love love this easel. Researched and this easel came up. So happy with it. Always used a table top but wanted a stand easel to free up room on my craft table. It's sturdy...beautiful beechwood and doesn't take up much room. Would definitely recommend this product.....Took us a bit of time to figure out how to assemble but we did it! Thank you Meeden!

Easy to assemble, good quality for the price

Couldn't wait til it got here and am happy with it. Am glad I didn't let the negative reviews sway me. Mine came without damage, came a day before delivery date, all the pieces were there, the instructions were helpful and I assembled it myself. It is beautiful. I am 1.67cm and a canvas 115cm tall can still be painted whilst standing up. The easel is heavy enough to be sturdy BUT not heavy to move around (seeing the reviews I was worried since it didn't have wheels to move around however that is nothing I should have been worried about because it can be moved/ turned easily). It also doesn't take up room/space. Second picture shows another reason I choose it over the other easels - your feet won't get trapped or bang the center of the easel, you can get up close to your painting and not worry about a wooden beam blocking your feet. Anyway I love it, used it straight away, my experience with it so far has been great.
