Exactly what I needed!!
I am one of those people that loves to have my pictures on my phone, and not in a cloud per say! A friend recommended that I get this to clean my phone up, and it has been great! Worked exactly like I thought and was pretty simple to use. I am glad that I bought this. Worked great!

Great Hardware App Is Better Than Most But Still Limited
Before you buy a plug in memory drive for your iOS device I urge you to first read the reviews of the associated App in the App Store. The SanDisk iexpand App is better reviewed than most Flash drive Apps for iPhone/iPad, but it is not without its critics. The limitation is that iOS is not like windows, it does not handle very well what we think of as “normal” File operations - storing, copying, moving, etc. That is Apple’s fault. For a long time, the “Camera Roll” was the only set of files accessible to interface to. Now files in the iCloud are also accessible - but of course you will be paying Apple for the privilege of a big enough iCloud....This flash drive is physically very small. It seems to work just fine and I had no problems with the thin case on my iPad preventing the drive from plugging into the lightning connector. You will need to install the SanDisk iexpand App. Normally all the use of the flash is via this App. The real problem is that SanDisk seems to think the users are dumb as rocks and tried overly hard to make the app “user friendly” to the degree that the interface is mostly pretty pictures and kind of slow. It can do two things reasonably well - saving, sharing, and backing up pictures and videos from the “Camera Roll” file. There is a saving grace, the app “File Browser Biz” (Available from the App Store) has an interface built in for the SanDisk iexpand flash drive. That App handles files much more like windows handles files. It lets you save, copy, and move files around between that App itself, iCloud, Network Drives, and other Computers within your network plus the Camera Roll (where your pictures and videos normally reside) and the flash. For someone more used to Windows type file manipulations it feels much more “normal” and is without the dumb delays of the SanDisk iexpand App.One thing you cannot do - You cannot use the SanDrive in any way to copy the files associated with music or video files associated with iTunes. The Digital Rights Management (DRM) system precludes that. So while you might be able to move and play non DRM music and videos with the SanDisk flash, it is not a way to share the music or videos you bought from iTunes. In the end, after finding that I could upgrade to the App “File Browser Biz” I was satisfied in what I could do with the SanDisk flash in my iPad. The ultimate limitations are all based on the apps and how iOS handles files.

Great for...
Great for offloading your iPhone pix and contacts. Very easy to use. Download the Sandisk app and done. You can also restore from the thing. I move my stuff over to the laptop and keep a back up on it.

Garbage software app
You can't really do a regular file transfer. It gets stuck if you try to transfer more than a couple MB

Good quality, fast
Works as it should. However know then when you but this to back up from an old iPad, to check the iOS version that is compatible with the app.
