I was hesitant to buy UV activated glue for fishing rod repair as I have used other brands before, and was sadly disappointed with the results. I am happy to report that Riverruns UV Clear Glue is the real deal. The product stays liquid until you apply the UV light and then becomes very SOLID immediately. This is the main problem I have had in the past with other UV activated adhesives. They tend to harden before you are ready unless you are using them in total darkness, but who could use them in total darkness? I have had no such trouble with this product. It stores well and does not harden in the bottle. This has become my go-to product for rod repair both in the shop and in the field. So happy I found this product.

This is not my first time buying a set of UV glues, but it is the best of the bunch by a large margin!! First off, they have these awesome tips, which are far superior to the tips on all the other UV glues I've bought over the past year or two. They allow for better aim when pouring the glue right out of the bottle, and most importantly, they keep the bottles SO SO SOOOO MUCH cleaner and less sticky, as none slides down the side whatsoever! Secondly, they're great quality glues! They do exactly what they're supposed to do, and what more is there to say about that? Lastly, I read some reviews before I bought this kit, and I saw a handful of complaints about the black light flashlight that comes with this set. Well, I went for this one anyway, despite those reviews and despite the fact that I really like the one uv/black light flashlight I already owned. Let me say this about the one that came with this set of glues, though: I like it SO MUCH that my other light, the one I liked already before ordering this set, is now in the back of a drawer and away from my desk because the one that I choose to keep up front in my desk drawer, close at hand, is the one I got from this purchase. It's SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL than the one I bought separately for this specific purpose! It makes the glue dry INCREDIBLY quickly, if I do say so myself! Plus, you can alter the lens's focus by twisting the tip (opposite the end with the button that turns it on), changing the size of the light to be basically as big or as small as you need it to be.Overall, this is the best set of UV glues and a black light that I have ever bought! I'm VERY happy with it!Oh, and for the record, I didn't receive any compensation for this review, nor did I receive any free products or anything.

To be instant set glue this stuff is awesome, it's a little pricey than i remember but if you want to quickly fix something without having to blow on it or sit there for hours or clamp things, this is the glue you need. Sometimes though, the whole thing doesn't dry, it leaves a wet residue that feels oily. Other times it's perfect and it's hard and dry.

Thin enough spread out nicely, but thick enough to stick where placed on tiny surfaces.does NOT spread out like really thin CA.I haven't used the two thicker ones yet...

The glue works great the uv light crapped out right away

I really wanted UV glue for tying flies and fixing rods. This didn't cut it. It just stays sticky and unfortunately, it's hard to remove. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but my tying buddy uses a different kind and his sets up fast, I copied him and never had mine set up.

I haven't tied any flies yet using this glue, but hope to shortly. I have experimented with several other little repair and gluing tasks. It seems to work very well, and the glue sets quickly with the UV light. So far I've been impressed with the holding power of the adhesives. I think the amount of glue provided with the kit is excellent for the price. I will buy again when this runs out. Good Job.

This set is awesome. Totally makes my flies stay together much longer instead of spontaneously combusting from a tough fish.
