Temp pull
Seems to be of good quality durable. Easy to read temperature and easy to interpret wind chill chart on back side . Compass is ok but not of importance on this item. Could work in a pinch if keep away from metals. Recommend to have on jacket or backpack for its the cheapest option on Amazon and don’t weigh anything and of good size.

Only 1 in 4 or 5 compasses are accurate
I've always liked having these thermometer & compass zipper pulls on my hunting jackets; more functionality than a leather or cloth loop-pull (i.e., last resort navigation). Sitting in a blind last week I discovered the compass was off by almost 90 degrees! Back home, I laid out five of these Coghlan's on the table and only one was accurate, one was 180 degrees off, and the others somewhere in between. I recommend comparing to a high quality compass or know direction, then return the inaccurate ones and keep the good ones.

So close to perfect
I got one of these years ago and it worked great. Not sure where it went, but I stumbled on this recently when shopping and immediately bought one. But, you know, I'm older now, and my eyesight for close-up isn't quite as good. It would be great if they made it about an inch longer :)

This is garbage!
This broke the 1st time I used it. The thermometer is in a 2 piece plastic frame but that frame is not solid and comes apart easily. The back portion fell off and and the inside (thermometer portion) fell out. I was lucky to notice it and find the thermometer other wise I'd just have a piece of clear plastic on key ring. There is a reason why its dirt cheap. Find something more substantial that will last more than one trip.

Fun stocking stuffer for the outdoorsy kids
My boys like to camp and hike. We got them these to use to get a decent temperature reading and ok compass bearing. Not for orienteering, etc. but helpful in finding camp, etc. They use them as zipper pulls on their Camelbak hydration packs.

Compas is calibrated wrong
The compass orientation does not align with the polarity of the magnet. NW aligned with North. NW= N

Clever little item but not accurate
I was excited about this item, but it fell short of my expectations. It's not constructed very well and It is NOT accurate on the temperature guage. I got what I paid for ... well...kinda. I think this could have been found in a $1 store to be a better deal.
