Awesome tape with no irritation
My skin has always been very sensitive to irritations (no allergy, but scrape a little bit and boom. I either get a rash, some superficial bleeding, or eczema). Dressing tapes and band-aids are my arch enemies if I have to wear them for more than 2 days.I have a recurring wound in my groin area (i.e. very thin and sensitive skin), which requires dressing and changing every day for weeks, so this time, even my usual and trusty Tegaderm didn't cut it. The surrounding skin is one big rash, red, angry, dry and some spots started oozing blood. I tried several other products, like Medipore, which was better but still not great. My NP told me to try this one. I've been using it (covering non-stick gauze pads) for 10 days now, and I'm happy to report that it's *almost* great. I like that the paper on the back has square markings, making it super easy to cut the right size. The backing is also very easy to remove. The tape itself is very thin, kinda cloth-like and very flexible. And it sticks very, very well (probably the best-sticking dressing tape I've used). And surprisingly, removing it does not tear off my skin, and I've only had minimal irritation (due to the fact that my skin was already irritated to begin with), but it has not worsened it. I am trying to vary the size and orientation of my dressings to avoid sticking it to the same spots too many times, but obviously that can't be avoided on the skin right next to the wound. As I said, it's very sticky and flexible - which means I can use a small patch that's barely bigger than the gauze, no need to cover a big surrounding area. It also doesn't move at all, even with underwear seams rubbing, or leg movements. I don't feel it at all.Not waterproof but stays put when taking a shower.Win.(Side note: I strongly recommend you guys try these skin barrier wipes before using tape, it works fairly well (just don't use it on open wounds, it has alcohol) : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010PD3MGU?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)

ESPECIALLY good adhesion, with thin, flexible tape.
I was first turned on to this when I cut myself at my Vet friends' house. Works well to reinforce bandaids, bandages, sticks well, comes off easily, and a roll comes with 10 yards!! I am buying more to use at my workplace, and the 10 yard roll I bought 7 years ago is still half full.

Exactly what the dr uses
Perfect. Exactly what the surgeon used to keep my incision together. Nice and sticky and easy to use. It also has an easy foldable pre-scored line to remove the backing. It also has vertical and horizontal lines on the removable backing to make even amd measured cuts for precise fits.

Love this wound care adhesive
If you are looking for gentle wound coverage, this is excellent. It does not irritate sensitive skin!! Stays on for the entire day and is gentle to remove. Use with a gauze pad and it’s better than a bandaid.

Great for daily use
I purchased this in a trial and error test of my own. I am diabetic and love the Dexcom continuous glucose monitor system. However, I can no longer use it because my skin has a horrible reaction to the adhesive on the Dexcom product that is applied directly to my skin. I am trying to find a barrier between my skin and their product that will allow me to use my Dexcom system. My skin had no reaction using this product (Hypafix), however, I need it to stick for 1 week at a time and this product will only stick for a couple days at best. For someone that needs to change dressing at least once a day, this is a great product. For my experiment, it was a failure.I have also tried Skin Tac Wipes. Although this was a great long lasting adhesive, it was not a good barrior between my skin and the Dexcom product. I still had a bad reaction using the Skin Tac. It was not the Skin Tac that caused the reaction because the reaction that I had was in the shape of the Dexcom product only.My next experiment is going to be using the Skin Tac wipe and the Hypafix on top of that then apply the Dexcom product.I really like the Dexcom 7 and the Dexcom G4 for continuous monitoring or I would not be spending all this time and money trying to find a way to be able to continue using it.Yes, I have asked the medical supply company if they have something for sensitive skin, which they do not and they are not allowed to suggest any solutions.
