Great for primary care.
I don't use this book everyday, but when I need it, it has EVERYTHING. There are a lot of procedures that most PCM's would never do, but it is nice to have the resource available in case I NEED to do it while on deployment or something... also to look at healing times, patient instructions, and alternative procedures for my own knowledge bank. The fracture care section is AMAZING. It is the only thing I have tabbed out in the entire book. This is the most common thing I look to this book for. Yes, there are books that are made specifically for fracture care...but I like have an all in one resource.

Pfenninger and Fowler's Procedures for Primary care: Expert Consult -Online and Print 3e
Pfenninger and Fowler's Procedures for Primary Care: Expert Consult - Online and Print, 3e (Pfenninger, Pfenniger and Fowler's Procedures for Primary Care, Expert Consult)An excellent resource with clear images and instructions for any procedure that one could wish to perform in a Primary care setting. The Online resource is a wonderful edition particularly for a fully computerised practice setting. A worthwhile investment for any clinician engaged in primary care.

Super extensive book that is very comprehensive
Super extensive book that is very comprehensive. They have a lot of procedures that I don't think any Primary Care Physician will ever do but still nice to have there. I have the pdf version on the ipad so I don't have to lug this giant book around.

Excellent reference for the practitioner
Concise and thorough instructions on basic procedures in medicine. I use it just to review occasionally something I may not have done in several months. It is a great help for residents and those in private practice. You can't always be calling a specialist for procedures in the rural areas of the US. This is a great reference.

Tons of information on all sorts of procedures not just office procedures
I thought this book was going to be for procedures that are done in the office, which it does cover. It also covers all other procedures that you may need to talk about with patients in the primary care setting. It comes with an eBook option, which is great. This is about a four inch thick book with a ton of information. I would prefer a little more information on the office procedures, but it is a great reference.

Incredibly practical
I bought the earlier edition of this book 16 years ago when I started practice. I bought this edition as a gift for a student I was mentoring, then had to get another for myself. Worth every penny and then some.

Excellent
I recently got this book. I borrowed it from attendings in medical school and finally decided to get one of my own. I've already used it. It is easy to use and extremely helpful. I'm positive I will use it often for many years to come.
