This you has both my kids, 2&5, playing for hours.
We bought it for the five year old but were surprised when the two year old got interested in the emotion cards. They scan the different card and the robot makes faces and sounds that are appropriate. We bought 2 more, one for our two year old and their cousin.

More information is needed.
It is very fun and interactive. I just wish it had more information about how to teach vocabulary and concepts so that they understand what they are learning. I also think it’s a littl I also think it’s a little overpriced.e

My Mtiny bot couldn't move in a straight line
My Mtiny bot couldn't move in a straight line. This issue prevents my daughter from playing with the bot.My Mtiny bot moves in a circle of about 39 in (100 cm) when I push the control pen up. It cannot keep itself in the board even when I controlled it programmatically.I already calibrated the bot multiple times (by pushing the control pen up, down, left, then right) but could not fix it.After emailing back and forth with the customer service for 2 weeks, I still could not fix it.I don't recommend this toy if you need a reliable product.

Lovely expensive robot, needs close supervision if you want your kids to learn
Fun and educational toy for young kids. My 3 & 6 had fun making it do what they wanted it to do. I think it is a fun way to teach kids to achieve their goals step by step (?) . I'm not a coder and don't really know what coding is, but here's some of my input. This bear can also walk with the joystick on the top, which makes it no more than a remote control toy. It took me forever to make my 3yo not play with the joystick and if that's the case, he's not learning anything in my opinion. This robot has one single function per block activity. Which means even if you change the character - yes you can choose chick, dog, cat or panda as your character, it's still gonna do the same thing on the same block. The first challenge in the booklet was to make the panda eat yummy bamboo. Then it was just stupid seeing a dog eating bamboo as well. I think it's somewhat overpriced. Everything came beautiful, quality item with perfect packaging, fully charged, nine languages to make anyone easily understand the instructions, then like the rest of the toys I let my kids figure out themselves. But other than moving, making some noise on different blocks, showing emotions when you ask it to, it doesn't do much other than "teaching kids how to code". It's an interactive play toy that you can make music with, play games with, but not like discovery that tells you fact. I was hoping for something that would also teach the kids some facts or tell a story. There's other cheaper products out there that do the same, and this one just cuter, maybe bigger. Ah and the instructions are not so thorough, I couldn't make the 2x 3x card work, I could only make it go with the arrow blocks. There's still so many blocks that I don't know what they are for. Still big frustration that I have to stop my son from abusing the joystick so very often and having to stop him from carrying the robot because it's so expensive.
