I was admittedly a little nervous when I got the part that maybe there was an extra bolt hole or two that I would need for this one to mount but after my mechanic looked at it he said it was a perfect match. The alternator was clean and shiny and came with a packing slip where the seller tested it and included the voltage outputs. Easy install thanks to Amazon's 'Guaranteed to Fit" .

Installed on a 1999 Jeep Wrangler 2.4l Alternator worked great, took about 20 minutes to install.We had been having intermittent loss of voltage on the voltmeter on the dashboard. when I checked the output of our current alternator we were getting 9 volts (14-15 is recommended) shipping was quick and easy and I received within 2days after releasing the belt tension on the Jeep I removed the two bolts that hold in the alternator along with the two additional wires, I found that the wire going to the dashboard had corroded after spending a few cleaning the terminals I put the two wire's back on and reinstalled the alternator and tested the output I got 14.5volts.

Looked exactly like the one I took off. Installation was fairly easy. Works well so far, no issues. Good price. It was new, not a remanufactured one.

This alternator fit on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport perfectly. I had purchased a previous alternator that was too big. This one was the same size as the original alternator.

First of all I installed this with hand tools and no knowledge besides a couple YouTube videos so it's installable by the average person. I might even upload a quick tutorial.I have a 2000 Cherokee XJ and my battery gauge would go all the way down and my check gauges light would come on, so I figured it must be time for a new alternator. This one is cheaper than any alternator in store plus no core charge makes it a no brainer and oh btw you can overnight it for only like 10 bucks.About the noise though.. yes it does make a sort of medium high pitch noise but honestly I have a flow master and my jeep idles louder so no big deal for me but if you're stock and standing outside while you're running it's gonna be kinda noticeable but for the price and the build quality (seems great) I'd say this is a good buy for any jeep owner in need of a cheap replacement.

Purchased this in February 2016 and though it works, it makes a weird ticking and whining noise. Took it to the dealer and they confirmed it was the alternator. The seller gave me a full refund, which I appreciate, but I would have appreciated an alternator that works as well as the original one did before it died. Now I have to get another one, and I will not be buying this one again.
