Got this for my wife as a Birthday present, it is beautiful, well worth the money she is very pleased with it, only complaint would be a index card or something listing the gems used and why they were used for that particular country.

The media could not be loaded. This globe is beautiful. A piece of art.I do agree with some of the other reviews, the countries and states should all be labeled, and the correct shapes. The less expensive paper globes can get this done.In my opinion this flaw does not take away from the beauty of the globes.I also bought the turquoise ocean one. The gemstones have a halo glow about them; like high quality cabochons.I plan to collect them.Thank You.

Returned the product as it was not even close to what was pictured. The picture showed countries with close to exact shapes. What was shipped was a bunch of shapes that did not look like the countries’ actual shapes, which I assume was much cheaper to produce than what was pictured.

I've seen globes of this quality go for over $500. This is a display piece for conversion and obviously not extremely accurate. Think of it as a piece of art vs an actual globe. I bought this for my wife because she got promoted to a GIS (mapping) position and she wanted something awesome for her office. Everyone of her coworkers want one and all where she got it. Perfect size (not to big, not to small) and the base is perfect for a desk (not free standing). It was the perfect gift. Thank you!

I bought this globe as a retirement gift for one of my company sales representatives.Although I had seen smaller, less opulent gemstone globes at discount stores, like TJ Maxx and Home Goods, I wanted a larger one, in pristine condition and ordered this model off Amazon.This item has a very commanding presence, due to the size of it and the brass frame it sits in, screams quality. The globe was a gorgeous lapis blue, polished to a brilliant sheen.It is truly an artisan piece and the recipient was thrilled with it, as he is quite the traveler.I don’t think you’re going to find another globe that makes the grand impression this piece does. It appears much more expensive that the actual cost of it.I highly recommend it.

Was exactly what I was expecting and better! It was a gift for a friend and it made her cry, she was so happy.

This is a well made, really nice, high quality display globe. But don’t look to this if you want to see accurate shapes of the continents and the smallest islands don’t even show up. I give it 5 stars because it’s hand made and just for that, wow.
