Solid product. Works exactly as designed.Product came with all necessary mounting hardware. Installation instructions were available online. The instructions include removal of interfering facias, as well as facia trimming diagrams.You'll need a trailer wiring harness, compatible with your vehicle. Don't forget to bond the ground lead of the wiring kit to both the car chassis and the trailer chassis. Since this hitch receiver product is nicely powder-coated, it will not transfer the car ground to the trailer chassis via the hitch ball.

Easy installation

Perfect fit. Installed on 2017 highlander XLE. I like everything about this trailer hitch. Very easy install.

I finally got around to installing this. One thing I didn’t like was how the shipped the item. There was no packaging, just some thick paper wrapped around the 2 round tubular parts of the hitch. So there were some scratches in the powder coat finish when i received it. But I wasn’t going to go through the return process just for that.As for the install, it was very easy. The directions are good, but if you go on YouTube, the video is even better. It clearly shows you, that you must cut away the tabs that keep the lower half of the bumper to the body. I was able to install this by myself. Once you remove the parts, you can sneak the hitch under the car, then get under it and kind of “Hip thrust” the hitch up and then screw in a bolt on each side. Once you have a bolt in, you can use a jack stand to keep it stable and get the other bolts in. It’s only 6 bolts that hold in the hitchOne thing i wish i knew ahead of time was that this won’t fit a full size spare. I hate having a donut but with this hitch, it recesses back into the tire area about an inch or two too much (but on the other hand it does make the hitch flush with the bumper). I may try deflating my spare or buying another tire for the spare that is meant to be deflated and then inflated when needed.Other than that, only tools needed are a flat head screwdriver, Philips screwdriver, 10mm socket, 17mm, and 19mm sockets. And something to cut away the plastic. I used metal snips but it’s plastic, you can use some really strong shears/scissors or a Dremel too.

Bought this for my Highlander. It went on well and very well made!!! Great for my small trailer!!!

Not advising others to do the same, just for those other DIYers that focus heavy on the Y (Yourself) and don't have an able bodied person available to assist you, you can do this yourself!Parts & instructions come seran wrapped (tough plastic) around the hitch and as long as your FedEx man feels appreciated they won't damage it by dropping on your patio, etc. We leave out drinks/snacks during busy delivery times to them and it helps.With the highlander rear end facing the top of the drive and parking brake engaged;Removed all the trim per instructions (some videos left out some nuts but after you do 1 of the 3 in scope, you'll know what to look for)Used rubber mulch bags and some olympic weights to jerry rig a driver side and passenger side mounts to place the hitch on.I was then able to lift up the heavy hitch with one hand/arm/shoulder and hand start the first nuts into place on passenger side and do the same on driver side.Cut up the shrouds according to instructions; I scored with xacto knife and followed up with power saw.Longest part was scoring the shrouds because I didnt want to wake neighbours with too much sawing in middle of night.Good Luck 🤟🏾
