Serviceable value
I have a lot of expensive knives some people would consider this junk I think it’s an exceptional value for the money it’s definitely rough but it comes sharp and it is definitely serviceable it will get the job done. It’s a great field knife that you wouldn’t have to worry about. And of course with just a little bit of work it can be cleaned up very nicely if you care to do that, if not don’t worry about it. Yes the guard rattles a little bit, ....so what....doesn’t affect anything if it really bothers you squirt some super glue down in the gap. It’s actually full tang with a reasonably comfortable grip, and thick steel. On a budget it can’t be beat. Large heavy sharp knife with a guard for under $30 what’s not to like. Yep it’s made in Pakistan, do I like that, nope, but this is an affordable Bowie knife that you would be damn glad to have with you were you in a jam! Think I’m gonna buy a couple more for a rainy day.

WOW!
This is a Really Great Deal. This is some Serious Chopping power and A sturdy piece of Steel. It held and edge when i got it and it was an absolute master piece, though when the Finger Guard got Loose and could not be fixed, i had to grind it off. Then it looked like a really big Butcher knife, and Did Exactly what a meat cleaver does, the chopping potential from this Behemoth is Outstanding. I took down Tree saplings easily. when it began to fall apart, i felt broken Hearted and it was sad to see it go. Its really too big for tedious tasks anyway. So i left it outside, For a month, go out to look at it and ITs Rusted! Its stainless steel from paskistan, But it RUSTED!Stainless steel dont rust so obviously pakistan had way too much carbon in the steel. That sure explains the Edge it held. Its Full tang and i highly doubt heavy use will Break it, But this knife is only good for fighting. Not wood work, Not Outdoors type Activities, I learned this over time of course, but would be Perfect for camping needs.ITs Stabbing ability is Second to None, little force is needed and this thing weighs a ton and will wear you down out back in the Woods.Especially since the sheath likes to play Patty cake on your hip, so therefore it could be Annoying to carry after a while.

I am happy
This knife appears to be fairly well made, and while I do have some concern about the tang( it may be a little too narrow for a knife this size) and the hand guard seems to be a little thin, overall I am pleased with it, The sheath is sturdy enough also, But.. The belt loop, and the hilt straps are pathetically inadequate! and I doubt seriously if they will last any more than a couple of days in the real world! Imagine trying to restrain a horse with a singe strand of string! such a nice knife, and fairly sturdy sheath, with the flimsiest straps and belt loop imaginable! they dropped the ball on that! If the straps and belt loop had been of a better standard, I would have given this five stars! despite these short comings, I am happy with this purchase!

There Are Better Knives, For The Same Price
This is an okay product if you want a prop...which is what I'm using mine for, but if you want a real knife to have and use, you need to know something about this product. 1) it is a heavy knife, but that is not too surprising 2) The handle is cheap and seems hollow 3) the sheath it comes in seems like it is going to fall apart to the touch 4) The buckle that is supposed to hold the knife into the sheath is to high and the knife slides to far too be same...if you wan tme to say something positive, it makes a great prop...all you need is a better sheath.

I am a knife collector and have loved knives my entire life
Well I waited for a long time to receive the knife, but then again I went with free shipping. I am a knife collector and have loved knives my entire life, I love the multiple uses of knives and the history of bladed tools and weapons, my number one favorite knife has always been the Bowie knife. The versatility of the Bowie knife throughout history has only been rivaled by, possibly the kabar, but when I recieved this knife I was greatly disappointed, it looks only similar to the knife you see in the picture, whereas the knife you want is in the picture but the knife you get is a roughly shapen knife made in Pakistan. The guard was made out of cheap metal that I easily removed with a pair of dull wire cutters and trashed immediately. The blade didn't even pass the fingernail test and failed the paper test with flying colors, the tip of the knife was comparable with a freshly sharpened pencil.....that you had just used to wright a ten paragraph essay. But I then realized I was being too judgmental, I only payed 20 bucks for the damn thing, and for that money.... It was worth it, any blade can be sharpened and polished, and if you saw it at big five for that price, I guarantee you would buy it too.

This is a nice classical bowie...
I like it ...superb price, full tang, came a little bit dull.but didnt take long to put a nice edge on...the sheath is ok,just that ok....it feels strong...i am getting a couple more of these..nice blade..may consider a better sheath, but for the price, man ya cant beat it...I ordered this with the big foot bowie...and this classical one is great,,,,but that big foot bowie is absolute garbage,,,i actually gave it away to a friend for free....this however im keeping...it feels really sturdy..and the handle feels really good...after i cleaned it up...its a good looking set up...cant wait to beat this to death....for this price *****
