Worked Great On My 2 Plastimo Compasses
I have two Plastimo Olympic compasses, both of which had lots of air inside. This fluid seems to be perfect for the job. Using a syringe, I filled each up, replaced the o-rings, and voila! I couldn't get either completely bubble-free, but after a day or two, the remaining bubbles were gone. Apparently that's how it's supposed to work, although don't ask me why.

Ritchie compass fluid works great.
Delivery was good and the fluid readily mixed with the fluid already in the compass. No more bubble and crystal clear. I polished the globe with Plexus and this 30 year old compass is as good as new.

Real Ritchie compass oil
This is authentic standard Ritchie brand compass oil that is used in all floating boat compasses. It was not clear from the description but I took a risk and it was the real thing.
