This was already assembled and love that it had a working lock and glad I was able to find a black cabinet that looks great with my appliances. It was the perfect size for the storage space I had available next to my computer.

Budget-Friendly File Cabinet
Nice, basic file cabinet. Seems made decently well and came faster than estimated. The lock however is just on one side so it doesn’t fully stop you from pulling open drawers.

Nice color and delivered without dents
I bought this second file cabinet to match won I got at The container store. This one is just as well made and the colors matched exactly and it was a lot cheaper and surprisingly it came delivered and there were no dents.

It's a filing cabinet, just a very low quality one. Manage your expectations.
Arrived with minor damage. It is not at all sturdy and wobbles fairly easily. This does the basic job of being a filing cabinet but certainly does not have an acceptable level of quality. Handles are loose, the drawers don't slide or close solid, and the sole purpose of that lock would be to keep honest people honest. It certainly wouldn't keep a curious person out. It arrived fully assembled. There was minor damage to a rail on the bottom drawer and minor dents along with a rusted corner.

You get what you pay for in life and I have NO complaints here!
Very happy with this purchase. But do remember you get what you pay for. A HON or similar quality 2-drawer file cabinet can sell for $200 or more brand new. Even a second-hand dinged-up model can go for $100. But for the money this is a decent buy.Plus:* Good price and free shipping.* Arrived in great shape and on the day after I ordered.* Drawers work fine.* Handles took 5 minutes to attach.* Biggest selling point for me: these files are shorter than your average cabinet which means they can fit under a standard office table. Not all 2-drawer files can do that.* Very lightweight. I could carry two of them up two flights of stairs by myself without huffing and puffing.* They have a working lock.Cons:* They are made of lightweight material, probably aluminum. They could be dented easily if dropped, banged or kicked.* Lock is basically a joke. I used to have a cat who could manage to open my file drawer if I left it even slightly ajar and get at the catnip I stored within. This would stop the cat if I locked catnip into the file. But nothing much else. Will stop your neighbor from snooping if you let him hang out in your office while taking a leak. Nothing much more than that.* Drawers are "only" 18-inches deep. That's shorter than most but I have seen some as small as 12-14". Still holds a fair amount of stuff and, again, if you only have a small space for it, or you want to place it under a standard office table and need space under it behind the file, the 18-inch depth can be a selling point.* The drawer doesn't come out fully so if it's packed you might have a small challenge accessing the files in the very back.* The file can be top heavy if you fill the top drawer first or with heavier materials. The box itself even warns you about tipping it over. Of course, this applies to any file cabinet but heavier ones have more inherent stability than this one.* I wish the handles came attached as it does take about 10 minutes fiddling with a Philips screwdriver to put them on. (I bought TWO of these units.) No big deal. I don't see where others have claimed to had troubles doing it, or that the screws didn't "seat" fully. I had no need for a washer or anything, just a bit of elbow grease and a flashlight.

Not as advertised & Flimsy
Originally ordered same exact item 6 months ago and was very happy. Re-ordered from the exact same listing... noticed that one of the two photos of the item had changed to what it presently is displayed as only... it was more expensive than another listed on this site with a different manufacturer name (appears to be same exact photo... but 20dollars cheaper, just look at similar items...) but, assumed it was the same one I had previously bought since I clicked on the same item and had the same model number and was same price. It came as a different much flimsier built filing cabinet that matched the other sold for 20 less.Cons:Drawers sway significantly to the left and right when open... When locked, I estimate that a 15 pound dog could pull the drawer open as if there was no lock there at all. Example: Upon first time locking... I couldn't unlock for 20 minutes as the locking mechanism apparently jammed or the key didn't fit adequately to overcome the inside parts catching on the metal of the drawer... and after that time I finally just gave up and tore the thing open easily without even pulling the cabinet forward from where it sat. (For those reading this who would like this explained in terms of engineering dynamics or basic physics: That basically means the force of the weight of the cabinet which you can refer to above as being very light comparatively to other two drawer cabinets, was still greater than the pulling force to tear the drawer open from its lock times the coefficient of friction of a standard office carpet...). The return policy is absurd... basically opening the package voids any return, and even unopened in many scenarios of their entire page return policy write-up... you have to pay for shipping.Pros:I easily banged the post-locked cabinet drawer back into place and I now store things in it unlocked that I want to store without looking at for an extended period of time and that I wouldn't mind being eaten by a toddler or stuff that could walk away never to be seen again without me losing sleep.
