SwansonGlucosamine Hcl 1500 Milligrams 100 Tabs

I've been taking equivalent brand of glucosamine daily for about 15 years after experiencing arthritic pain in the thumbs and elsewhere. This Swanson brand works as well and is more easily available. Generally, this is a bargain over similar products also containing chondroitan, which I've never tried or needed. My thumbs are better than 15 years ago.

I started using glucosamine years ago because my knees were becoming very painful. After a few weeks of taking glucosamine, the pain was gone. I know it works because, when I would run out, the pain would start coming back after a while. Swanson's Glucosamine seems to work just as well as any other, and only in one pill. The pills are large, but are no problem for me to swallow. The price is excellent compared to other brands.

I just finished 2 x 100 count of this product. Works great on joint pain in my shoulder and hip. If I don't take it for 3 or more days I really notice it. I discovered the HCl version of glucosamine when I was traveling overseas (Australia) and forgot my glucoasmine (again) and the HCl version was the cheapest choice at the local chemist. The big difference I noticed was that the sulfate version tended to give me the "runs" (sulfate is a well known laxative) and the HCl version didn't affect my digestion at all.The downside of this product is the size of the pills - nearly one inch long (15/16 inch) and more than one quarter in wide (5/16"). I had to take this pill alone, and then I could down the other six vitamins/supplements I take in one swallow. When you think about it, 1500 mg is 1.5 grams, which is a lot no matter what, but the pills from Australia were only about two thirds the size of these pills, so they must use more filler here. I would rather have a pill half the size and take two to get the 1500 mg.

Product is as expected, better than getting at CVS

I have been using this product for 2 months. I have been using glucosamine HCL 1500 mg for 10 years.These are as effective as other brands I have used but are harder to swallow. They are large (like all 1500mg) but don't seem to be coated. If you get these you had better be a good pill swallower.

I use this to prevent pain and stiffness associated with arthritis So far so good!

I found this brand better than my local store brand for the same price. My pain relief is much greater.
