Nice, but...
It's a nice set, but the A 440 tuner is two cents sharp. Not a huge deal, unless you're trying to tune an instrument with them.

Great Musical Inspirations!
I choose this rating because they satisfied every purpose that I imagined they could and more. Genuine Integrity by far.

Wish could recommend, but seller was flexible
Most of these tuning forks were so off, that most were unusable for musical purposes. They were tested using my trusty and always dependable chromatic tuner and tuned piano. 7 of the 13 tuning forks were very sharp and not usable at all. 5 of the 13 were either slightly sharp or slightly flat. ONLY 1 of the 13 tuning forks was spot on.I can't recommend these to any musician whether amateur or pro, because there is potential getting into some really bad habits using such inaccurate tuning forks. In fact the G# is so sharp and the A natural is so flat in the set that both tuning forks almost sound like the same note.On the plus side, the seller was flexible enough to work with me on the ones I was willing to keep. I respect that. The tuning fork that was spot on in the set I received was D natural.

SOUR DEAL...
There are TWO "C" tuning forks in the set. One of these is tuned to C# when it is supposed to be a "C." The F# tuning fork was tuned to "G" -- TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, unfortunately. There is absolutely no point in buying Tuning Forks that are, indeed, TERRIBLY out of tune, which these are. I only gave these 1 star because ZERO is not one of the available options. That a shame!!!

Great Help for my Music Class!
For my fourth and fifth grade students this year, I was asked to take a few weeks out of my normal music class and devote it to the study of sound science for their April tests. These tuning forks helped in many of my experiments and assisted my students grasp the concepts of amplification, tone, and sound for their Spring Achievement exams. The previous review is correct that these forks do not keep their specific tone as well as a thicker fork. But for my students who are just beginning of explore sound for the first time (and even older students who were doing this for a second or third time), these forks provided the hands on experience that really helped them learn.I would, however, suggest that if you buy these, have a way to safely store them (in a felt bag or other container) as this will lessen the impact of the tone issues. I have individualized fabric bags for each of mine so that the forks stay protected at all times. This helps the forks from bending or warping during long-term storage.

Reasonable Quality
The forks are well enough in tune that they are worth it despite the materials sometimes poor machining. The only issue is that the A440 is somehow a microtones flat. However, all of the other forks have pitches within acceptable cents.

Tuning Forks.
The aluminum is lighter than the steel. The vibration time seems somewhat diminished, However, they, the forks, do help me to seek for matches from my (CA) beautiful 1940 Mc Phail piano

Set of 13 Great, Quality Not So Great
The old addage you get what you pay for is correct. These forks are scientific grade, constructed of low quality aluminum. They are paper thin, and do not hold tone well. Great for the scientist studying sound, but not so great for the holistic healer.
