Beginner friendly but actual case needs improvement
I’m a beginner & just started leathercrafting classes at my local school district. Our instructor gave us a list of basics, including a tool kit recommendation from a major hobby store. The major hobby store kits failed all of us (mislabeled and missing tools) hahah! I purchased this one in a pinch. The variation of tools in a case with a basic instructional booklet (and overnight delivery) sold me. This kit was great to take to class the next morning & matched the quality of tools that my instructor provided during class. The plastic case is too small for everything to fit properly. When I’m finishing up a project, the last thing I want to do is puzzle and Tetris together my kit. The case needs improvement in size & the latches feel a little flimsy for as heavy as the load is with everything inside. As far as the tools — perfect for a beginner to tinker with or travel with!

Happily decent. Broken box though
Case came cracked and broken and very scratched up on the outsides. It is also way too small too hold everything. It is nearly impossible to get the tools back in after you first open it and I had to take the wooden varnishing tools out to even close it again. I tried really hard to position them all in, in many ways to fit them in again but it wasn't happening. Other than that the tools are good and not cheap quality so they will get the job done. Not proffesional quality for all the tools but some definitely compare to the quality of expensive proffesional tools which is surprising for the amount and cost you get in this order. I don't care much about the tool box it comes in being broken personally and I'm very happy with the tools them self which is the reason I bought them. Happy with the wax thread. Awl isn't the sharpest but works well for what I need it for. The variety of stamps it comes with is very nice especially for beginners and first time leather crafting. Just make sure to buy a mallet to actually use them (Will update this review if needed after more use or any problems develope)

Perfect for all levels
Whether you need to start from scratch, like me, or just add to your tools, this is a great kit. I am a bladesmith that recently started making sheaths and this was my first kit. I am VERY happy with the variety and quality of this set. I am able to make all my sheaths, no problem. I also love how much wax string is in this kit. I made 2 full sheaths and barely used a quarter of one roll. The tools are sturdy and function well. The only down side is that the case is small so once you remove everything, you probably wont get it back in. I'm not going to take any stars away because I bought it for the kit, not the case. I ended up buying a cheap tackle box to organized all my leather and leather accessories. A+

Wonderful kit.
EDIT: Some of the items in the kit are of mixed quality. The tip of thee awl bent when trying to make a pilot hole for stitching through thick, tough hide. Also, when using the circular base to push through leather with a needle, it busted through the back of the wood! Cheap pine wood is not the correct material for this. Oak or hickory should have been used. To fix it I used wood glue to put two layers of rawhide on the back, which also have it a more positive grip in my hand.I'll be honest, I had zero idea what some of the items in the kit were for before reading the included booklet. I started working with leather just with needle, upholstery thread and thread and a homemade awl. I've sewn holsters, traditional Native American clothing and shoes, rifle scabbards, knife sheaths, bags, you name it - all with minimal tools. I wish I had bought this years ago because this brings me to a whole next level of capabilities. My favorite pieces so far are the ornamental stamping dies. I recognize the steel as tool steel, very good quality. That is, except for the awl, which is too soft, which I will harden myself through heating and quenching. The case is honestly too small and everything is packed in there. But you know what? I can sew a bag for it out of leather, or there are a lot of options at the thrift store. I will use the small case that it comes with for drill bits or something. Everything considered, this kit is satisfactory.
