Wreck Gar
I highly recommend Wreck Gar. While he was VERY hard to track down, and was priced at double the retail, he was worth it. This has to be my favorite Transformer at the moment. I've been a Transformers fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching the cartoon back in the 80's, but living in East TN, there wasn't much of a way to get many of the toys back then (this place is horrible about stocking up on new items). The 1986 movie made me a huge fan of Wreck Gar, but I had to wait 20 years before I had my first Wreck Gar figure, thanks to the internet. While it was a nice G1 figure, it never did him justice, due to the poor head sculpt. Well, they really went all out on this one! The head sculpt is near perfect and the updated transformation along with modern bot and alt mode, make this a great toy. It does suffer from a few issues which need to be corrected as soon as you get him out of the box, but nothing that's a deal breaker. First, the handlebars need the nub cut of the back (where they plug into the gas tank) as this nub causes stress to the hinges when transforming and will lead to breakage. Cutting the nubs off will not harm anything in either mode, it just improves the transformation. The second thing is, DON'T try to get him to hold his weapon by any part other than the tip, and even then, be sure to SLIDE it into his hand as his hands may break if you try and pop the weapon in. Lastly, under the seat in motorcycle mode, there is a screw near the back. This screw should be removed and the plastic trimmed from under the seat where the screw goes. This allows his leg to fully straighten when in robot mode. I've watched reviews on youtube and read in countless forums about these things and I urge you to do the same research. If you are a fan of Wreck Gar, don't miss out on this toy, even at twice the retail price, it's well worth it for any fan.

cool
wreck gar has a cool figure the only problem is it took more days to learn how to transform back so if any one who just brought this when your transforming make sure the hands are facing down

Wreck-Gar. Dope!
After exhausting various retail outlets (Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Ross, Marshall's) for the past 6 months, I finally decided to just buy it online. And let me say, this was a very worthwhile investment! It's definitely much more accurate than the G1 version/monstrosity that was released after The Movie. Most Transformers with motorcycle-based molds are inherently limited (and botched) in transformation, but this one is cleverly done. (Although my only concern is that since it is motorcycle alt-mode figure, it is relatively fragile compared to other alt modes.) Overall, the level of detail and integration (Wreck-Gar's grin and 'stache, the battle axe, the battle shield) makes this one of the best of the G1-based Classics figures.

Great Buy
I never was able to get one of the original G1 Wreck-Gar when I was growing up. I thought that I would never be able to get one since they are either to broken to want to buy or way out of my price range to purchase. Much to my joy they released a Universe series remodel of this character. I wanted it the first time I saw that they were releasing it and now I have the pleasure of owning my very own Wreck-Gar.It looks great and the articulation is better then I hoped. I even went out and bought a Junkheap figure so he would be able to reenact the Junkion scene from Transformers: The Movie (Not the Michael Bay travesty the good one from the 80's). Much to my surprise they are actually designed to do so, there are two holes in the seat of the motorcycle mode (Either Wreck-Gar or Junkheap) that lets the seat of the other in robot mode to peg in so that they stay in place (Just one more bonus when buying this toy). The only downside I found with this toy it was that he wasn't as red in coloring as the pictures show he is more of a brownish color but still a good toy.If you want an accurate G1 color Wreck-Gar I would recommend spending the extra money and get a Takara/Tomy version of this toy witch I will be doing myself when I can find one with the right price. Also just letting you all know that their are third party TF toy makers that will be producing additional weapons, shields, body types, and heads. So you can make your own Junkion army.Over All I would defiantly recommend this to any Transformers collectors/enthusiasts

Too pricy
I was looking through here and thought, "Man I would love to get Wreck Gar!" I purchased this product, and thought it was a good price. Come to find out this person sent this to me in a crappy box and had the price tag previously bought from! Good product, but bad presentation.

A perfect homage to G1 Werck-Gar.
I missed out on Wreck-Gar when he was in stores (along with most Reveal the Shield Deluxe Transformers), but I did find and buy Generations Junkheap, which made me only want him even more. My wife surprised me with him for Christmas, and I love it! He is a great homage to Generation One Wreck-Gar from the original Transformers: The Movie (animated from 1986). They have been able to capture the character with a perfect head sculpt, and a great looking motorcycle mode. As a cool bonus he can even ride Junkheap (or vica versa), like in the movie. I'd like to see them repaint this mold a couple more times, to create a whole Junkion army! Great toy for old fans and new fans alike. Highly recommended.

good figure
I had already Junkheap and needed him to compelete my junkens transformers. Looks real good in my collection. He came with same style of weapon as Junkheap. Nice paint job.
