Good Little Assortment of LEGOs
I feel like this little set is under-appreciated. Our family purchased this set, the two Classic Creative Supplements (LEGO Classic Creative Supplement & LEGO Classic Creative Bright Supplement), and the LEGO Classic Medium Creative Brick Box to create Lego goodie bags for my son's birthday party and I feel this set holds its own in terms of variety, colors, and mini-builds.First, if you are able to purchase this set a little below retail ($16.99) its an equal value (price per brick) as the two Supplements set. Even at retail it is a fair value when compared to any licensed Lego set price per brick.Second, the images of this set show only HALF the pieces included. The box is small (does it matter? I don't keep assorted pieces in the original container; they go onto the epic lego pile which is the kids' room) and the printing of the included pieces is on two sides of the package. That is because there are few repeat pieces and a GREAT variety for a small set. There are 2 types of wheels, a plastic door and window, plates (including a fair sized green plate), propellers, and slanted roof bricks. Plus there are Lego eyes! Sweet. The mini-builds are all small but so is the set. And its still fun to see how few bricks it requires to make a complete animal (only 10 bricks for a cute sheep!). And though they are simple I was sad to give up the pencil and eraser into the goodie bags.If you can pick this up at a discount, even 10%, this set is worth the price.

Kids Simply Love Legos
This set of bricks is great for kids to make their own creations or add on to another existing set. Kids love Legos. They make a great gift and last well enough to pass down through the generations of your family. My granddaughter plays with her dad's old Legos. He is now 44 year old; she is 11. Then, they were also usedbyy hundreds of my students when I was teaching third grade full-time. I let the kids use them when they had inside recess do to rain or cold weather. I say this to describe how durable they are. After hundreds of kids, over a twenty-five year span, the Legos are still in great shape.

Great memories!
In the late '70's, I grew up with Legos and have fond memories of weekends spent building with my brother using his suitcase full of Legos. As an adult, I could not believe how Legos had gone from a "use your imagination" toy to a specific project collection. Disgusted by this, I never bought them for my children until now. My daughter received some for her birthday and all 5 of my children have had such fun creating different things, that I ordered this box for another birthday gift. Now everyone wants to use birthday money to buy more! We have boys and girls so the pink and purple blocks are fine, but I can see how boys might not appreciate them. Legos should make a collection of basic colors and one of secondary, more "girly" colors. We have a clear Rubbermaid box to keep them in, so the cardboard of this box is not a big deal. But I agree with others that it would have been a plus for it to be plastic. Also, there are 220 blocks, which is a good start, but the box is way bigger and can be deceiving. If they were going to make the box so big as to allow for more pieces to be added, the box should be plastic. But over all, this is a great item and I recommend them to children of all ages!

Fun toy excites imagination. Brag to friends about the cool box you got? Get different set.
Was at that double U store and got this on impulse for a three year old. They're easy to build if your not fighting off toddlers for the pieces. I won. The second picture is from Do-It-Yourself Danielle January 4th, 2016, Then she did Ed Ostapchuk June 23rd, 2016. SEe its the same stuff in the same arrangement on the same desk, only cropped differently. I figured if he/she/they liked it that much, then I just had to get one too. They were right. Go get you one. If you got a cat It will LOVE thje box mine did!

Versatile pieces, flimsy box
*Not a plastic box - only a plastic top. Bottom is cardboard.* Like most Classic Lego collections, this one is very versatile. It has a good mix of standard pieces and specialty pieces. This is the perfect size for a small classroom center for one child to use for 10-15 minutes, which is what I needed. If you haven’t looked already, check out extra instructions for each set on Lego.com, as there are additional instructions for each kit - this one has a racecar and lighthouse among others, kid favorites! The one thing that made me quite sad about this set was that it appeared to be one of those nice sturdy yellow plastic boxes that can be used for Legos or other toys. However, only the top is plastic; the bottom is a cardboard box. I would rather have either a cardboard box that I can recycle or a plastic box that I can reuse - this lid is destined to be trash, unfortunately, as the cardboard box will wear out and I have no box for the lid. It’s the worst of either option! I was truly disappointed, as the box just will not last long in my classroom; I hoped to have a complete box for storage. (And not to have a bunch of plastic trash!)
