Vangoa Pan Flute 16 Pipes Pan Pipe Instrument Key of C for Beginners Learning Teaching with User Manual, Carrying Bag, Mouthpiece and Long Pipes

I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy this instrument is to play. Emboucher is the thing that I struggle with the most on pan flutes, but the Vangoa's tube system takes away that issue for me. It's really well in tune and has a sweet timbre. Of course, it doesn't sound quite like a wooden pan flute, but for ease of playability, that's certainly something I'm willing to give up to be able to play this instrument.

I got this as a gift for my wife, to see if she had a connection before getting a high quality pan flute. She opened it, put on the mouthpiece, blew into it a couple times and said: "I can't play this", and laid it down.I told her nobody can play anything unless they practice, but that was the first and last time she touched it.... SO... "I" started messing around with it and am enjoying it quite a bit! It's not high dollar, but produces nice rich tones, so I highly recommend it to those who want to spend some time learning a new thing!

I was looking for a wind instrument for myself and my grandkid that was sturdy and easy to use. This one fits the bill. I'm no musician, but this instrument was perfect for my needs. I'm not sure if it is perfectly in tune, but I played some simple recognizable melodies with ease. The mouthpiece makes it easy for both me and the grandkid to play it.

I was expecting something different,but I am not turning it down and will keep it...Now just need to learn how to play it.Not bad for the price.Its a starter instrument.

I love the sound of the Professional Pan Flutes made of Wood. Just had no idea, as I am not Musicallyinclined, that there would be such a big difference in the sound. This instrument is very much like the very inexpensive Recorders kids get to learn on in elementary school. It would Be Fine for Child, but not adults that really love Music. It was very Sturdy & Case is Awesome. It was my fault for not knowing that a Beginner instrument is not going to sound the same as the Expensive woodwinds.

Bought it as a gift for my goddaughter. She was delighted. The quality seemed very good.

Okay, frankly I was worried at first that I had received a returned instrument since the mouthpiece for the flexible tube was attached and the instructions showed it to be shipped without anything installed. But I looked it over and decided it was probably okay.The pictures for installing the fixed mouthpiece are pretty small and it’s really hard to see much detail. I finally figured out how to get it installed though.The mouthpiece does make it super simple to blow.I made the family watch some Zamfir and Inka Gold YouTube videos and I was impressed with the breathiness of their instruments. I commented that they certainly didn’t sound like plastic flutes like this one does.So, I took the mouthpiece back off and just blew across the tops of the tubes. Oh my goodness. It wasn’t a wooden flute sound, but it certainly added the breathiness that I was hoping for. I’m going to file the sharp edge down to make it more playable since I won’t need the stupid mouthpiece.I’m going to be pretty happy with how this turns out!

I am very disappointed with this purchase. It should be listed as a child toy and not like a musical instrument. It is out of tune and cannot be used at all. I hope no one else will be robbed by this company.
