This product has saved many chicken lives!
Any time I have a chicken with any kind of respiratory issue going on, this product is my go to. There are unfortunately no instructions on the label for chickens, but by reading the FAQ's section on this page, I learned how to dose chickens: 1 tablespoon per gallon of water, and about a third of a can of frozen apple juice concentrate mixed into the water (to make it taste better) and that's it. You make a fresh batch of it daily, because it can fermente quickly, especially in heat, and give it to them as their only water source for 3-4 days. You will see a major improvement if it's respiratory related; if it's coccis, or any other bacterial issue, I use other medications. FYI do not skip the apple juice concentrate, because the medicine is very bitter and they don't like the taste, so they won't drink it, and if they don't drink it, they won't get better. As far as egg withdrawal, I am uncertain about that. Some are saying yes, others are saying no, but it's a medication, so I'm assuming there should be an egg withdrawal period of some amount of time. I'd use caution and withdrawal for at least 7-10 days, like any other medication given, especially if you sell your eggs. I just let my customers know ahead of time that I won't have eggs from a certain time; I just tell them it's a routine treatment that I'm doing.

Saved my chickens
This was my second one bottle of Denagard. The first bottle really did wonders for the chickens that I gave it to, one hen multiple times. My chickens have a disease that is common in wet Florida soil and stress brings on a flare-up of the condition. The state recommends Tylan 200 to combat it but good luck finding an avian vet in Central Florida. My vet, Dr. Moisa @ Orchid Springs vVeteranary Hospital said she'd approve it if I ordered it thru their online store but when I gave them a 1 star review for price gauging she denied my RX. Yes, that vet is overpriced and useless so I turned to this and it doesn't help those that are really far gone and have lost a ton of weight but if I catch them before they have severely deflated I can usually bring them back with the Denagard, thankfully.

Excellent product for acute respiratory infection in poultry.
I had a respiratory infection that hit some of my large fowl breeding chickens quickly and hard. I was desperate for a remedy. The evening I walked out to their pen for a nightly wellness check, the rooster and one of the hens was wheezing so badly I thought they had only hours to live. This medication in their water did the trick quickly. I used 17cc per gallon of water and treated all of my birds with the treatment. My birds recovered quickly and you would never guess they had been so sick such a short time ago. Fortunately, I had purchased a bottle of the medication before I needed it and was able to administer it to their drinking water that evening. This is an excellent medication to purchase ahead of time just in case of an acute respiratory infection in your flock.a

Bought for my chickens
I bought this for my chickens to treat for URI.I highly recommend you mix with apple juice concentrate for flavor, and make sure to give them clean water every single day.Look for BackYardChickens on social media like FB, for recommendations on dosing and how to use the product. There is also a very good page for vet advice on there as well :)

Expensive treatment
This product saved 50% of my affected flock but not sure I would buy it again. Didn't seem like it was that effective. And birds hated the taste.

Saved My Chickens!!!!
I can't say enough good things about this product!!! My chickens were getting sick with foamy eyes and pus in them along with sneezing. Eyes swollen shut. They were miserable.I was treating chicken after chicken with Vet rx and terrymyacin daily. One would start to get better and another would start getting sick.Ive been using this for 4 days now and they are all 100% better!!!I put 3 teaspoons per gallon along with 1/2 cup of sugar as it has a bitter taste. I will continue for another 6 days as recommended. After that I will use only as a preventative using 1.5 teaspoons per gallon on occasion.I hope this helps someone going through the same problem.

Saved My Chick
I was hesitant to buy this product because of the high price. I had a gravely-ill chick and Denagard was recommended to me by several other chicken owners. In short, this antibiotic saved my chick and another ill pullet. They both had respiratory symptoms with swollen eyes. I used this product for 5 days and it helped them heal and get back to normal. I also gave it to our entire flock as a preventative measure in their water. I’m glad Amazon carried this product.
