X-keys Three Axis USB Precision Joystick with programmable Keys (68 Keys, XK-68 Joy)

Using buttons and Joystick for external control of VMIX software and PTZ Optics cameras. X and Y axis on the joystick work great to control PTZ. Was afraid that Up/Right Down/Left directions would have issues because of how PTZ commands are detected, but it works great. Activators can be used to assign responsive button colors (red/blue/both/ red or blue blinking). Just have to make sure you blank out the control surface lights by default using the XKEYS setup software on their website, otherwise it glows red by default.

I bought this mainly to use as a game controller (for X-Plane 11). Generally it seems very well made, but I was really surprised to discover it only allows 40 buttons (32+hatswitch) to be viewed by game controller software at once, you can't use all 68.Fortunately, you can hack around this by mapping the remaining 28 to keyboard CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+[A-Z] and a couple symbols and setting those as hotkeys, so while a bit irritating it's not a big deal. The "basic" software for assigning the keys works really well, although the interface is a bit weird.

The XK 68-Joy is easy to set-up, and works well. It saves numerous key strokes and makes for a much better production.

Works great. Actually upgraded to the 128Key version. Couldn’t get the joystick working with vMix but ended up opting for more keys and will go with another joystick for PTZ support.

Great product but the joystick is useless unless you are a programmer, as you have to do that part yourself. Other than that the software is easy to use and their tech support is great.
